My VCR has finally given up the ghost, and now I'm toying with whether to buy another VCR or get a DVD recorder.

All I really want it for is to record the TV (I've just had Virgin cable installed - but understand I can only record the channel I'm watching off cable?) so that's all I'm concerned about really, the ease of recording mainly the 5 terrestrial UK tv channels.

Any advice on what I should do? If I go for a DVD recorder, what features should I look for, or any good models you recommend?

Only really want to spend around £100/£120 max.

i was wondering im 16 and theres these guys i know that goto my school and they are players one girl after another,but about 1 year and a half ago two of my friends that are girls where asked out by 2 of the players,ithought it wasnt goingto last long at all,but both my friends have been going out with them for all this time(about a year).i find it very mysteriouse how CERTAIN girls can hook a player that long,and for him to not move on.my question is this: what do you think it is that those girls have for those kind of guys to hook on them for a long period of time?? is it that they are hard-to-get,and dont do anything sexually with them,like giving in on everything a guy wants them to do?? or is it the mystery the girls keep?? what is it??

I am not suppose to put these items in a compost / mulch pile :
Meat,bones & fish ,
Dairy products ,
Grains , beans & bread ,
dog/cat poop ,
sawdust

Why aren't these things allowed in a mulch pile?

as i drive down the road my rpm needles wiggles all over the place it doesnt go all the way into the redline area thankfully. it doesnt rev up either, it was dying when it would go to zero but i had the coolant temp sensor replaced and it stopped dying, but it stills wiggles like crazy. it also has probs statring as it will start and die for a while, then starts up. the biggest problem is that it only does this sometimes then will run fine sumetimes.

I promise, if we get this tank set up right, I'll dance at all your weddings! Anyway, my 30 gallon tank will now have 3 rosey barbs, 2 dwarf gouramis, 1 tetra (need more of those), 3 mickey mouse platys. The 5 Tiger Barbs live alone now and the shark is going to the local community college bio dept. So I'd like a really nice bigger fish who can live with the others and I'm done stocking. What is a nice fish to get as I'd like to have at least one bigger fish? Thanks for all your help!

How much CO2 are humans putting into the atmosphere compared to the total increase in total atmospheric CO2? This is the most logical stat. to prove that humans are causing global warming; however I can't find this anywhere.

I served in the Navy active duty 1977-80 and Naval Reserves 81-83. I was stationed at Whiting Field, Milton, Fl, and also at Little Creek Amphibious Base in Little Creek, Virginia. I also was a sailor on the USS Nashville. Thank you to all who have served.
