When you sign your tax return, do you ever read what it says in the fine print?
It says:
" Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have examined this return and accompanying schedules and statements, and to the best of my knowledge and belief, they are true, correct and complete...."
By not including a W2, you are filing a false, inaccurate and incomplete return.

Yes you can file an amended return later. I would suggest however that you file for an extension instead and obtain a copy of the missing w-2 and file it all at once.

No, you need to track everything down and file it all together.
If you haven't received a W-2 yet from one of your jobs, call the IRS - they might be able to help you file without it. If you got it but lost it, call the employer and ask for a replacement copy.
