Weren' t you just licking your chops to give me a smartass reply? Do people not know they are throwing themselves to the wolves by stating this? I know you theists have that little voice in your head that's tempting you to give a funny reply.

My question, does not a question stated like this become overwhelming tempting to give a funny reply?

Their just asking for it when they state that.

Also the ones that say "Christians only", or Muslim, believers, atheists etc "only"

Does someone really think that keeps other people out??

You are the one that told me about this place, and how you can screw with people on here. When I came on, I had no real intention of giving serious answer, and I usually don't. Just about all of the time, I give humor with a hint of advice.
To these specific questions.... when I am looking for someone to tease, these are one of the first things I go for.
Serious questions are seriously asking for it.

It's the equivalent of putting out a "Wet Paint: Don't Touch" sign. This is a concise description of how the commandment of God works to bring out the sinfulness of man. Outlaw something and the fallness in us, even against our better judgment, will often desire it. This is the actual purpose of the law - it's not a "be a goody goody so you can go to heaven" kind of thing; rather it shows us what we are: rebels by nature.

Usually I think someone is really searching for answers so I try to help them. If the question is stated off the collar then I might attempt humor. Whether I am successful or not is another question.

No. Actually, when someone says this I generally think the question might be worth the time it takes to reply. Maybe the person has a real concern to address.

Usually the questioner knows that their question is suspect before they even put that title.

At least I hope they realize it.

It's like when some white person says
"No offense but most of the other black people I meet are pretty ignorant."
It makes me want to kick them.

Either that or it is a plea that all the smart*** trolls skip the question instead of cluttering it up with their unwelcome, arrogant, smarmy and mocking non-answers

Nope, i click on the question expecting a serious question that can get a serious answer. Problem is, nobody who uses it WANTS a serious answer. Or I should say, very few who use it want a serious answer.

No. You disappoint me with crying wolf. I'm not a theist, I'm a Christian--and for a moment, I heard this the way many intend it to be heard, as a cry for a real answer.

How about a serious question to give a serious answer.
