The LDS claim the ancient papyri that Joseph Smith supposedly translated from Egyptian language to create the book of Abraham was burned in a fire when, later in 1967 these same papyri had been found in the New York Metropolitan Museum. (Some, even with notes in Joseph Smith's own handwriting on the back of them!) In 1967 this same museum donated these papyri to the Mormon Church, and the Church agrees these are the same papyri Joseph used to produce the Book of Abraham. Soon after the Church began its own translation of the papyri, as did at least 4 other well known Egyptologists not associated with the Church. When the Egyptologists finished, all their translations resulted in basically the same translation, which concluded that the book of Abraham had absolutely nothing to do with the papyri! In fact, the papyri did not even mention Abraham's name! Instead, the papyri turned out to be common Egyptian funerary documents known as "The Book of the Dead" and "The Book of Breathings"

It is so annoying. In essence, it is apologizing for a crappy answer. You should not answer unless you know it helps. Otherwise don't waste people's time. Any comments?

I have mild gastritis and recently it has been acting up. I take medicine on a daily basis but would like to improve my diet rather than continually taking medicine.

I have read that one cure for excess stomach acid is drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. However, on other websites I have read that vinegar is to be avoided (which seems to be common sense) because it is acidic.

Which is it? Is vinegar a cure or will it drill a hole in my stomach???

I fell in love with the '05 Mustang when I first saw a photograph of it in a issue of Life magazine. I had no idea it was remake of the '65 Mustang.

Me and my dad visited the nearest Ford place. I had the opportunity to sit inside the '05 Mustang just to see what it looks like inside. It looks so cool. Leather seats, radio, cd player, v6 , too cool!

I love the way they've designed it and remade it. Cool car. I'm praying to get one when I get my licence. I'm 18. Still learning.

Hello. I have a 1998 Hyundai Tiburon FX that has an automatic, it has started slipping from 3 into 4 and sometimes will not back up. So I was wondering if anyone had this trouble with such a car and if so, how did you fix it? Like replacing the pulse generator or the control module? Thanks for your time....

i hear all the times people say "looks don't matter". i really belive they do. If 2 guy's approach a girl in the exact same way and one is just average and the other is considered "attractive" then the results will be different, even if they are equally nice, confident, polite, etc... i know coming from a guy. this is not to be shallow but if you're going to spend a lot of time with someone then they have to be appealing. I think the term "shallow" is way too overused when refering to guys. It is not shallow to want to date someone who is good-looking, and most people have something about them that is attractive. Looks is what captures the eye at first and subcontiously, i feel, all people feel that way no matter what they say. The first time you meet someone, you make a judgement in your head about their appearance without even noticing sometimes. After that first judgement though, it is ALL personality which captures the heart

This is just an opinion, guys/girls, your thoughts?

I'm a young guy with a liking for female feet. "Fetish" is not the proper term since it is defined as being REQUIRED for any sexual arousal. Thats not the case for me, its just a liking. Anyways I have been deeply depressed & suicidal for years now. I am a great guy though and have been told by my male friends and female friends and girlfriends and I am not "gothic" or "emo", etc. (The depression is not 100% due to my liking for feet or even 10% for that matter) anyways I have always kept my liking of feet a secret with a select few of my girlfriends. I'm wondering if things might be any better if I was more open about it or if I'm right in keeping it a secret and how should I go about it if I should be open about it? I would like to hear honest, mature, well thought opinions and narrow minded and or immature users need not reply. Thanks in advance.

Why do some of us think that doing wrong is right and good for us? I'm no angel and at times I know I'm sinning and doing wrong.
