How do you cope with the stress of waiting for a job offer or admissions to a university?

Read a good book, exercise, or watch some good movies. This will help your mind escape from the stress for awhile. Waiting in these situations is hard for everyone. Good luck!

Why stress?

Seriously. They will either accept you or they won't. If they don't, there are a million other opportunities out there waiting for you.

Never put all your eggs in one basket. This is true for almost all situations. Doing so limits your options and puts more stress on yourself. Always have a fallback option.

Being stressed doesn't do you any good, nor anyone who has to deal with you. :)

Yes they are talking about your final average. However, it isn't for all of your grade 12 U/M courses, remember you will only need this 77% average for your top 6 courses (which must inclue any pre-requisites). So yes, it is important that you finish with the 77% avg for top 6, or your offer will probably get revoked. Hope this helps

School: No problem...I always get accepted.

Job: I interview for multiple jobs at the same time. I interview for multiple jobs and I know I will get at least one offer.

In other words...I don't stress!

Keep putting in applications for other jobs and schools.
Never put all your eggs in one basket ( one job or one school app )
There is lots of competition for positions and places at school and NO guarantees.
Soooo , keep applying until one comes through .

Tell yourself there is no stress!
You could be in the hospital tomorrow or something worse.
Enjoy your life and think of other things--good things.

Hang out with friends or whatever you like to do. Stay busy to keep your mind off of it.
