Perhaps, but it won't last forever.

Eventually all democracies succumb to the weight of bribing voters (vote for me... I'll give you XXXX despite the cost).

And for the misinformed, a representative republic IS a form of democracy. In fact it's the only viable form of democracy, although potentially the rise of the internet presents the option for a pure democracy (although it would be chaotic as hell).

Sure, even liberal, socialist utopias can be democracies.

Of course, our culture will be lost. The economy will be in shambles. Unemployment will be massive. Government will take 90% of the GDP. Everyone will live in the same style home that will come in the choice of two colors. Healthcare will be run by the government and average life expectancy will be lower than it is today. 80% of the population will be on some government subsidized program. Our police officers will carry big foam sticks so they don't hurt anyone, our border security will be ran by the Mexican government and our national security will be done by the United Nations.

It will be such a wonderful place for our future generations to live in.

(..............I am being facetious. Hopefully we will not let this happen to our great nation.)

We aren't a democracy now so I don't see why we would be one in a hundred years. I have decided though that no matter who gets elected president this next round that I am moving to another country. They are ALL bad candidates in my opinion.

USA is not a democracy now...it is an oligarchy. The rich have defined the country and limited freedoms from the beginning of the lying nation of liars and deceivers.

Ummm, I'm assuming you meant the U.S. If that's the case then I think the more appropriate question is will the US exist in 100 years.

As the filthy neo-cons and corporatists have sold this country's economic future up the river with their Wal-Marts and NAFTAs, I believe we're heading for an economic failure of unimaginable consequences.

And when China begins to call in our debt, that's when the cookie will begin to crumble.,

I don't think so. Here are a few reasons why.
1. We aren't getting done what needs done to fix the economy.
2. We are more than likely to allow these illegals to be granted amnesty.
3. We haven't based our money on anything for a long enough to as to make the inflation rate almost unbarable.
4. The government wants to take our guns.

Well, no one knows for sure because we have over hundrends of things to worry about like the war, global warming, poverty, and if the gang society (crips, bloods, etc.) grows, then our nation may have a possibility of falling. It may not become a split country, but it might become a poor country. No one really knows actually...
