Do you think that people who rant and rave on ANSWERS do so because of the anonymity? I often think that they must be really quiet and scared people who are too afraid to spout off face to face, so they do it here where they cannot get into trouble. They lack the guts to stand up to the world in reality, so they use the anonymity of the internet to sit in their safe and cozy little homes and vent their frustrations. I guess it gives them some type of satisfaction to bully in cyberspace since they lack courage in real life. Sad, isn't it?

Like everyone else i want to improve my upper body strength and the biceps in my arms. Last summer i did a fair amount of running and cycling, this made my legs rock hard - but my arms are still looking like chop-sticks.

What is your favorite exercise in the gym for upper body and bicep control? I also noticed that the muscle in my legs have diminished during the winter, even know i'm a pretty hard skier.
How can i maintain these muscles after gaining the body that i want?

Male, 17.

I have a visiting old stray cat and most of the times he visits he sprays. He's too old to train not to- he's on his last legs I think. Have you any practical tips to try and kill the smell because I find it still lingers even after lots of scrubbing at the spot.

I've been involved with this white man for 5 years and we have a lilttle girl together. Now he wants to settle down with me and move in together. But...
From his past behavior and issues between us, I'm unsure if I want to settle down with him. However I want my child to grow up with both parents in the household. I'm confused. I've talked with family and Friends. Some say yes and some say no. Should I set aside my feelings and do what's best for my daughter?

'They shall hate you because they hated me.'
This prophesy is fullfilled every day, as we have seen.

Why do we get the most flack? "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?" The Hindus, Buddists, Shamanists, assorted pagans, Atheists, Evlutionsits, etc. are all ruled by the same dark king. Satan is a smart guy, why would he attack his own?

If there are facts that are proven by virtually all scientists, why do people deny that such facts are true?

In the medieval, Galileo Galilei had a bad time because he found out that the sun and the earth don't do what the church guys said.

In the 1970s scientits finally found out that asbestos causes lung cancer... quite a while after the year 1900 when some doctors found out the same but could not prove well enough. Of course, the industry opposed their opinion.

In the last decades we heard some news about the risks of smoking. In the USA there was a fast change, whereas in Europe science still has to face opposition, especially in politics.

Well, and when it comes to global warming, the first thing I read here in all the answers is something like "global warming is bull****, and only tree huggers believe in that nonsense..."

Why is that so?

Why do people deny scientific facts?

Many of us know that the constitution states that to run for president, one needs to be at least a 35 year-old person who was born in the US and has lived here for at least 14 years. So, if you were born in, let's say, Canada, and moved to the US when you were one year old, you can't run for president, regardless of if you lived in the United States for the rest of your life. Is the policy that you have to be born in the United States to run for president fair? Should we amend the constitution?

Or does this not apply in these circumstances?

NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

This is probably the best e-mail I've seen in a long, long time. The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA. This guy should run for President one day...

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

So wait a minute... A perfect god wrote us a book so that we'd know he was with us and he did so in such an imperfect way that at least half of the world (probably more if you ask more fanatical Christians) wouldn't understand it?!

Don't you think a perfect god who loved us and wanted us to be in fellowship with him would have done a better job in his authorship?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 months, and recently his mom looked through his cell phone and all his text messages, what we had been talking about wasn't very appropriate and she read all of it. It was something you would never want your mother to read and was totally embarassing. She got very upset and now she doesn't like me at all. I'm really sorry that we even talked about what we did and I completely regret it and I wish that she would like me again because that's very important to me but I don't know what to do!

i seriously have to question this womans motives...if she says she was in syria promoting the presidents agenda, then why doesnt she even show an iota of promoting it at home in the united states..??? if she is in fact over in the middle east promotinmg the democrats version of american foreign policy, then she is by all means chargeable with a felony offense under the constitution...since she was telling lies about israel intentions, and in fact, not passing on a message from israel to syria as she has claimed, isnt this the worst sort of meddling in world affairs an elected official has done short of actually spying for another country that is diplomatically trying to undermine united states interests...and thus makes her an agent of that country...and thus by doing this, makes her a traitor to america, according to the oath she swore to take office...."uphold and enforce the constitution of the united states of america"....?????

We got a job offer to San Diego but we can't decide if there is a good place to live with a one year old. I'd like to live there, but my husband is unconvinced. We need a clean, pretty area for taking walks where I'll feel safe as a woman with a baby. Any suggestions?
