My kids have done plenty in comparison I am sure this is one she is going to find out about. Trust me we have radar built for this type of situation. If she gives you a hard time send her to me. I have my third one gearing up just as you and my first two did. I can talk her through it. Do you like your hair? That is what really matters.

Wear a stocking cap, dye it a different color, spend a few days away from home, wrap it up in a towel, or pull a Brittany Spears!
But eventually she will know and ask why, so you need an answer. Get to thinking!!
My granddaughter dyed her hair an awful red and got sent home from school. They told her not to come back until it looked normal. If your school has such rules, you may be in trouble from them too, not just Mom.My advise would be to show it to all your friends that you want to see it. Then go directly and buy your regular color to have on hand when Mom freaks!! The chemicals in hair coloring damages your hair, so think about that! Who wants dried up damaged hair?

First off, good for you, dyeing your hair purple. Most people would wuss out if they thought of dyeing their hair any color that people aren't born with.
Okay, you could try a hat, and if you have hair extensions, you could try wearing them and having them stick out from under that hat, to make it look more natural.
And if your Mom does find out, and if shre freaks and asks if it's permanent, say no and then dye it back to your natural hair color, and then wait until you move out, and then dye it purple again.

Why can't you use the wash-out semi permanent dye? It comes in purple.

Dye it green when she's around, then she won't notice that it is purple. She will probably have a great laugh.

Try wearing a hat or putting a wig on when she's near.
If you live in the same house, why couldn't you tell her about it or at least ask her what she thought?

Well get ready for a lot of shampooing - a hat can only be worn so long. You should have just got permission. Good Luck!

go rinse it out now, or just show it to your mom. I did that once when punk was hot in the 80's and my Mom was surprisingly cool with it, so was Dad. Don't sweat the small stuff

Buy a cute hat, tell her its all the rage. Make sure the hat is not outrageous otherwise she'll ask you to take it off.
