it wont shine.....
the only reason we see the moon shining is b/c the space is pitch black and during the night when the light of the sun is blocked by the earth, we see the sky as a dark figure and rest of the sunlight falls on the moon. although the moon is not a perfect flat mirror, it reflects some light and in a dark area, a small amount of light seems bright

They only shine during a full moon so they can communicate with the moon it's self.
