No, Nixon was not impeached. He resigned before he was impeached. In the history of the United States, only 2 Presidents (Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton) have been impeached. Both were acquitted. There were also one cabinet member (Secretary of War William Belknap - acquitted), one Senator (Tennessee Senator William Blount - charges dismissed), and 13 federal judges (including one U.S. Supreme Court Justice - Samuel Chase) that were impeached. Impeachment is not the same as convicting someone of a crime. It is more like a Grand Jury indictment. It only says that there is enough evidence for the person to stand trial. At a federal level, impeachment happens in the U.S. House, and the trial happens in the U.S. Senate.

No, he should be impeached for lying to the country and for obstruction of justice. No man is above the law, not even a president. Honor and dignity? That fool is the most dishonorable person I can think of. Get some common sense. Also to the guy that wrote an essay...geez, this is a short answer space....if I wanted to read War and Peace, I would go to the library. And to the person that said he restored honor and dignity, yea rite........dream on. Did not know that mass murder of Iraq innocents brings about honor or dignity. Pathological liar and murderer...yep that sure is honorable.

He should be impeached because they thought what Clinton did was an impeachable offense. He lied about a *******. Bush lied about WMDs and when he found out it wasn't true, he changed the reason of the war to "helping the Iraqi people establish a democratic system. Clinton's lie - 0 lives. Bush's lies - Over 30,000 U.S. and Iraqi lives.

Yes, he should be impeached. He hates America, how can he say he loves America but he hates the citizens of this country. If he loves America, we wouldn't be in this position. He down sizes out military and our defenses, upgrades illegal immigrants (they commits crimes on a daily basis). He bullies the citizens of the United states.

Yes, he should be impeached. I mean Richard Nixon was impeached because of the business with Watergate, and they were thinking of impeaching Clinton for his "family problems" that really had nothing to do with the mass population. Things that bush did are far more criminal and idiotic than the actions of Clinton or Nixon.

I wouldn't impeach him for being an idiot. But if we begin to dig into his affiliations with Enron and Halliburton, I bet there is something there, especially with regards to the blackouts in California in 2001 and no-bid contracts. I think there is definitely a case for going to war with Iraq and the misleading of America by lying about WMD's and the 9/11 Sadaam Hussein connection. But you have to prove this. I don't think the Democrats want to put their energy into this, but want to continue to show all of the mistakes and lack of ethical conduct demonstrated by this administration.

I think, instead of impeaching the president, we should remove people from the country who would have us lose this nation to radical islam; let them find their own nation and see if they can negotiate their own peace with the radicals that hate infadels. Good luck

No matter how many stupid things he's done (e.g., illegal immigration) he has not committed any impeachable offensives. You can't get impeached for being stupid.

No, he should not be impeached.
