One night my neighbor was outside with flashlight near his electric meter. I know him fairly well & walked over to see him fiddling around with the interior dials. The glass cover was completely off!!!!! I asked what the hell he was doing and he told me I better not tell anyone. I agreed and he taught me everything he knew. This guy was saving thousands a year!!!

I tuned mine back shortly afterward but ran into a problem as the little pointer needle for the '100 KPH' broke right off when I tried to turn it backwards. There is definitely no way to get it back on there are even some weird coils sticking out now. To make matters worse all the other dials seem to be moving faster now (I assume charging me more). I put the cover back on but am worried. My neighbor is vacationing in Europe for the next 3 weeks so he can't help me.

How do I fix this? Are there any electricians that can help me with an answer? Actually anyone that can help me?

-stange hyraglyphical type tracks that resembled tree branches coming of the other branches. In case the slide was contaminated I did a second take of the experiment and had the same response. When I took a sample from my wife, she didn't have them. They seem to form over minutes, maybe as it dries. It maybe crystaline in nature I don't know, does anyone know what I am describing here. What is this stuff, its made me concerned.

I'm in a role reversal marriage where I am the sole breadwinner and my husband stays home and does all the homemaking (cooking and cleaning).

I don't cook. We agreed my husband would do this - and he is doing better than I would (except for too much Hamburger Helper). However, many people assume that I cook and it is my responsibility. What are everyone else's thoughts?

Everytime I plan to get together with family and one of my step-siblings is involved, he always insists on changing the plans to suit his needs at the last minute. He is more of a partier than the rest of us, so maybe he thinks nothing of insisting that a whole bunch of his friends tag along, or insisting that we go out to a bar when someone has planned a party at home. This has happened with him several times now. He acts like he has no concern for other people's plans, and if other people do not want to go out, he calls them "boring." I like going out to bars, and have several times with him, but I don't like doing it if I'm planning a party and it's supposed to be at home. I'm having a birthday party this weekend and setting it up is costing me a lot of money. I only invited my closest friends and fam. Once again, he's asking if we can go out to a bar with his friends instead. Is this just rude or oblivious? How do I deal with this? (I yelled at him about it on New Year's)

My fiance and I have sent out invitations to all our family and friends for our 5/5 wedding. I'm a little nervous that we've only recieved seven or eight RSVP cards out of the 146 people we invited and the wedding is five weeks away. I asked people to RSVP by 4/5 but the invitations were sent out a little late and now I'm not sure what to do? Should I set the cut off a little later? The caterer will need an accurate headcount a week or two before the wedding...suggestions?

I am speaking specifically in regards to social and fiscal policies.

I have always wondered why the left considered the ideals of the right so intentionally unsympathetic. Isn't it possible that the right has as much interest in helping the lower classes only the right thinks the best way to do this is by expanding the economy instead of social programs.

Surely it is possible to conceive that both the left and the right are compassionate but just view a totally different manner of how to help the lower classes.

Whether you think it is right or wrong, don't you think its possible that both sides could have good intentions?

Seems a good idea to move to talk talk because it's cheaper and quoted £19.99 first 3 months then £20.99 but what is the broadband like? has anybody moved from BT to Talk talk, and is it cheaper. I currently pay £17.99 broadband and line rental £11 total £29.99.
Can't get cable in my area.
