At this point, Dan Marino. If Peyton got injured tomorrow and could never play again, it would be Dan Marino. If Peyton plays as long as Dan, then he will surpass him easily.

It is not just because of the ring, it is because Peyton has kept the Colts at the top of the pile for so long. He is the most consistent QB in the game, period. Teams celebrate when they keep him to just 250 yards and 1 TD.

Basically he is Kobe, Nash, or LeBron in a football uniform. If you are playing against him you just pray he doesn't light you up.

Don't forget Elway and Montana in this argument.

This is a good question. There are many things you have to consider. Dan Marino was a sensational QB. Peyton Manning is also a sensational QB. Dan Marino never won a Superbowl and Peyton Manning did. A thing to consider is that Peyton Manning has 2 future hall of fame wide receivers, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. Dan Marino had no hall of fame receivers. Dan Marino still had a defense which Peyton Manning doesn't. SO Peyton Manning has all the pressure, because if he throws an interception then the team is screwed. If Peyton Manning plays bad then more than likely the Colts will lose. At least Dan Marino knew that if he threw an interception then he has a defense that can make a stop.

So taking these facts into consideration then I would go with Peyton Manning, because he has the ring, and he still performs extremely well, even with all that pressure.

Peyton is going to go down as the best QB in the history of football like Jerry Rice did in the WR department. Dan Marino isn't the best QB of all time cause he has never won the big game and his numbers won't even compare to Peyton's when it's all said and done.

you need more knowledge on football. manning has players to work with. marino went many years without talent around him. same as favre. even as a packers fan i think marino was overall slightly better then favre. you simply cannot compare any qb that has superior talent around him to others!!!

John Elway was better than both of them. He was a winner who could carry a team.
