Ok so my ex fiance of 6 months recently broke up with me. She told me that the reason was because she felt bored to me and din't feel happy to me and didn't want to hurt me more in the future because she felt like she never had fun with me. I'm a very shy guy and she knows this but after being with her for 6 months I'm still shy and I think she feels like she knows who I am when she really doesn't. The question I have is why did she end it? What was going through her mind when she ended it?? I know she loved me and I think she still does.

I've recently finished the first three books of The Vampire Chronicles and I'm looking to take a break from the vampire genre. I like Anne Rice because her books are character-driven and full of sensory detail -- you feel like you're right there with the characters, in their world. Could you recommend some similar books? By similar I don't just mean "vampire" books. I mean quality, clever; a book that doesn't treat the reader as if they're stupid. :) Thanks!

I have been pretty down for awhile over a divorce and some other things. I cant take medicine for a lot of reasons but I am finding it hard to motivate myself to do anything. It isn't laziness. I just dont feel like doing anything anymore. Just basic things. I have kids so I need to get going. I know that they need me to be attentave and energetic. I just feel overwhelmed by minor things though. What other ways are there to pull yourself out of depression besides medicine. It has helped in the past but I cant take any right now.

It makes me crazy when I substitute teach in pre-K and kindergarten classes in schools in poor neighborhoods and the emphasis is on lining up quietly. The emphasis should be on constantly reading to these kids, who will NOT get it at home. I will be student-teaching in the fall, and then will be a certified teacher. I want to read to the class while lining up for recess, which will not work. But how can I get in lots of reading time around the time constraints?
