I did M.C.A in my back country,I m on F1 status right now,I m doing my 2nd semester,
i want to change my status from f1 to h1 with the help of consultant,Thoes consultants are saying me that its possible,
But i m like........... than why everybody's not doing it..
My Qestions are :
1)Is it possible to convert the status from F1 to H1 so early?,
2)After getting H1 can i study along with work.
3)My 3rd semester's time period is from August to december
Suppose if i will get that h1 than it will be valid after October 1st ,So my question is,what will happen to my F1 i know it will get cancel but than in what status they will allow to complete half of my 3rd semester...
they just change my status from f1 to h1 and allow me to finished my half semester or they will drop me from the class and i have to register again that class in next semester...

I was diagnosed just 2 weeks ago with type 1 diabetes. I want to get a pump soon. How long do i have to wait before i can get an insulin pump, safely. I would ask my doc, but i don't have an appointment for 3 more weeks.

I have recently taken a job to work at a maximum security state prison as a food service supervisor. Of course, all the other stuff has been very helpful in giving me advice about certain things, and I am grateful to them all, yet every once in awhile I hear about a problem, like how an inmate had a cell phone, or they are doing drug testing, or what not. Everyday that I go into work I empty my pockets, walk through a metal detector, and am patted down, then allowed to proceed. So is everyone else. So I am really curious as to how it is that illegal drugs are a problem in a maximum security prison. Where is it that they are coming from and how are the inmates getting access to them? And how are the other inmates getting money to pay for them?

I have been told a few times by younger women that they think that are a better parent than older women, because they feel they can chase the child around and also they can relate to the child and be a friend.

I always think to me this doesn't make sense, because just because a person is in their 30s or 40s it doesn't make them weak physically. Also, a child doesn't need a friend, they need a parent. Also, older parents can generally are more secure financially which can promote health in their children. Older parents also generally have more wisdom and know what are good choices in the world.

I've always been bothered by sitcoms jokes that go way over my head. Then when I don't understand them I feel dumb, because the audience is obviously laughing at something I failed to get.

In an episode of married with children Al Bundy is in his shoe store trying to get an overweight woman into a pair of shoes. This is the dialogue.

Woman : I don't understand. Before aerobics, I used to fit in a size 6. I guess all that jumping expanded my feet.
Al: I see you've must've fallen on your butt a time or two. Woman: How dare you say that to my face!
Al: Well, I'd say it behind your back, but my car's only got a half tank of gas!

What does Al bundy means when he says he;d say behind her back but his car's only got half a tank of gas. Does that joke have a meaning, or is that a random comment? I don't get it. Does anyone?

My daughter is 17 months old and constantly slaps people if she doesn't like something. She slaps me, her sister and her father and caregiver. She slaps the dog and inanimate objects when she gets mad, if there is no living thing close by. Saying NO in a firm voice doesn't work. Scolding doesn't work. Slapping her hands or holding them down to stop her from slapping doesn't work. I feel she is too young for any discipline stronger than a hand slap, but am at a loss of what else to try.
