I love mild cheddar, but they say the older the cheese the lactose is not there.

BOTH! I guess it just really depends of each individual taste , and also maybe certain recipes. Like crackers and cheese I would use mild, but for something like macaroni pie made from scratch I would use sharp cheddar cheese.

i like mild chedder better sharp is kinda weird it has to much flavor in it and its to strong if you just want a slice of cheese
