to those that replied that i don't want the troops to have hot food and clean clothes, that is not the issue, the issue is should we be paying outlandish prices for services that should be provided in-house by a solider. doesn't the army have people to drive trucks and cook food and do laundry? and arn't these people taking jobs away from patriotic american soliders?

We have been at war with radical Islam since Iran took our embassy people hostage during the Carter administration. We chose to ignore this disease known as international terrorism for decades. We finally realized that we are at war after the attack on 9/11. The only reason it ended up in Iraq right now is Saddam overplayed his hand. He would still be in power if he had cooperated with the UN inspectors. He liked making everyone believe he had horrible weapons. After 9/11 we could not take the chance that he did and might provide the technology to terrorists. Since we were still at war with Iraq since Dessert Storm, we took the opportunity to take out his perceived threat.

The terror supporting countries in the region realize the threat to them that a Free Iraq would pose, have been supporting the insurgency with money and sophisticated weapons. The disease of fundamentalist Islam tyranny cannot abide the cure that liberty brings to the long suffering people of the Middle East.

Having been over in Iraq, I kind of agree with you on a lot of aspects. Are we being overcharged for meals and housing? You bet, but if we were forced to build our own barracks and cook our own meals, there would be three times the troops in Iraq. And as for mercenaries being scum, who the hell are you? The Lafayette Esqadrille during WWI, the Washington and Lincoln brigades during the Spanish civil war, and the Flying Tigers during WWII were merenaries, and they helped to defeat imperialism and fascism while people like you were saying we shouldn't get involved.

So a Truck Driver is a Mercenary?

So a Food Service worker is a Merc?

So a Engine Mech is a Merc?

So a Wretch Operator is a Merc?

So a Carpenter is a Merc?

So They arent even allowed to carry guns to defend themselves, but they're Merc's?

I guess you think out troops should never eat hot meals, should not have their clothing cleaned, should not have clean water to drink and bathe in.

Wow, your a regular hero dude !!!!!!!

Why don't you try growing up, then get back to us.

I guess you think the people who make the troops uniforms, boots, weapons, underwear and everything else the troops use, are all mercenary scum to, huh?

I do not believe that Haliburton is "just another mercenary by another name". Do not be confuse between the company and one single "bad" act that is fact and fiction. For any conclusion, you need to do further homework and have a thorough understand of all facts through a good length of time.

Sounds like you need to look up the word 'mercenary' in a dictionary.
