There is a story in the Islamic history about a battle called "Sareyat Al Kadeed" where prophet Muhammed sent his companions to invade a neighbour village. The story tells that the Muslim army waited outside the village and watched until the night came in and people went to bed, then the Muslim army invaded the village where they killed, enslaved and looted all the valuables and brought them back to prophet Muhammed.
Was that the only way for prophet Muhammed to spread his word?
The story did not even mention anything about preaching the words of prophet Muhammed.
