I am a 30 year old straight man. I quite like the idea of wearing opaque tights under my trousers. There see to be quite a lot of tights marketed at men these days. Would women find this really weird or off-putting? Should I try them?

Please, Carlos don't do it!!!! If you're a straight guy you're going to confuse the girls and the guys. Besides, what would be the purpose of you wearing them? It seems like you want to wear them as a fashion statement but they won't be seen under your slacks anyway. The only men who should be wearing tights are those dancing ballet on stage.
I went into the gerbe.com website and was so freaked out by not only the tights but skin tone pantyhose for men....yuck!!!! Don't do it unless you intentionally want to give out the wrong message!!
Now if I'm wrong about it being a fashion statement and you want to wear them for heat retention then try a pair of long johns under your slacks. People are much more accepting of this type of clothing; your purpose for wearing them will not be misinterpreted.

I have not heard of this in the US yet, but I think if it makes you comfortable, go for it. No one will see anyway. Try it and see what you think. You don't say if you're seeing anyone right now, if so, ask her. If not, you'll never know till you try, right? An intelligent open-minded woman will probably not have a problem with it. The tights may be hot when spring and summer come though.

By all means try them but speaking as a female, why anyone would want to wear tights if they don't have to beats me. They are the cause of static if worn with the wrong over garment, and believe me, electric shocks DO happen, not to mention the damage that can be caused by overheating important parts of the body. If you don't mind either of these problems, go ahead, wear them.

But of course it's okay for whatever reason you want to wear them. I know a couple of guys who wear opaque tights under their trousers and both perfectly hetro. One works in the ship yards,it gets kinda chilly in that big yard building boats, the other guy is in the TA and they are recommended for good insulation when out on those dam moors on their weekend trials. And another thing, if you just want to wear them for the sake of it, WHO THE HELL SAYS YOU SHOULDNT ????!!!. Get youself a couple of pairs of nice thick cosy tights for whatever reason and enjoy !!!

I think it is perfectly fine for a man to wear tights. A lot of people in general wear them to help with circulation in the legs. If you feel more comfortable in tights then by all means go for it. If a woman if wrongfully judgmental of you then she is not the woman for you anyway.

Wearing of tights that is of your choice. I have been wearing for long time, my wife does not mind me wearing tights plus she hates tights. The only way to find out if you like is to try several different types of tights to find out if you like or not.

Personally, i think that every individual should be able to wear whatever they want as long as it makes them happy and they are comfortable without causing any harm or distress to anyone.
As a lady, i like wearing it under my clothing in the colder mornings and winter months.
It's your choice. If i did notice my man wearing them, i guess i'd be slightly shocked but not severly put-off. So go ahead and be yourself!

Without question it is best to wear tights without pants or shorts. It is most comfortable and relaxing. Especially in and around home, you will find wearing only tights and a comfortable shirt or sweater to be your favorite outfit.

Its ok for a man to wear anything he wants. Why, i don't understand, is it such a stigmata for a man to wear anything female? I got my man to wear my things just for the experience of the way it feels. Even hough he was obviously uncomfortable with it. You can wear anything you want without guilt.
Only you can judge that.
Never did understand the fear men feel who try to experience the feminine. Go for it. There is no harm whatsoever.

If it makes you happy then go for it definately!!! tights can make wearing trousers a bit uncomfy though so watch out! x
