We had to move our TV/entertainment center away from the wall due to some plumbing issues on the other side of the wall. The new location (only spot for it), only has one plug (2 prongs, not grounded). We have four plugs in a power strip (TV, Satellite receiver, stereo and VCR) , so we might need to set up an extension cord back about 10 feet to the grounded plug.

I have a medium duty extension cord (12 Amps, 120 V, 1625 Watts). The tag advised me not to exceed the total watts, so I checked all of the various appliances and added them up (does not exceed the total watts). The power strip is also rated, and the total is ok on that one, as well. We have a 6 outlet surge protector on the actual outlet itself.

So, what I want to know is, is there a safer way to do this, in case it needs to be up for a while? Could I use the two prong plug set up with an adaptor (we have one with a screw that I think is supposed to be a grounder).

There is nothing in return that the internship would offer and the position is not open on the job market; are there any regulations restricting such internships?
Thank you!

My company has been going through some major reorganization over the last 6 months. They fired 1/2 of our staff as part of this. They came to me when they were letting people go and gave me a option of staying or going. I stayed because what else would I do on essentially no notice. I regret staying now because the partners that own the co. are making some bad business decisions. If I know of a decision that will affect my department in a negative way I speak up about it. They’ll listen to my opinions but they never use them. Now all of these could’a, would’a, should’a events are happening and I feel like things could’ve been different if they would’ve either taken my advice or at least thought things through a little more thoroughly before making quick decisions. Would you stay with a company that’s making a lot of bad business decisions because they seem to be only thinking about the here and now instead of the future?

What does "osea no seas naca" mean? The last word can be naca, mamon, tonto, or something similar, but what do they mean? and what does "o sea que oso" mean? If you try to put these in a translator, it gives you the wrong answer. Remember, this is slang from Mexico, it's probably different from Spain, Cuba, and other Latin countries.

For a physics lab, we have much too efficient of capacitors, and we have calculated that we need an approx. 4000 ohm resistor in our circuit. Any ideas on a resistor we could use? (Tried a pencil, thought it worked, but we were wrong. It didn't)

Before you answer honestly read these scriptures which show the corporeal nature of the resurrection... Don't even bother answering unless you read these details. Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Isaiah 37:12 ...Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves...Matthew 27:52-53 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Ok..so I've developed a product that I plan to sell online only, no brick and mortar. From what I've read at the comptroller site I would be required to tax only the sales to fellow residents in my state.
1. So.....to avoid the paperwork and hassle, can't I just refuse to ship/service my states online customer?
I hate doing that, but I haven't even had a test run of my product yet, and really don't want to file for a tax# right now.
I could easily sell on ebay and not worry about it, but I think ebay is greedy based on what they charge for their stores, listing fees, final value fees, etc..
2. How would the state even know I exist if I'm not a corporation, and I don't have a DBA? I know I can be found on the WHOIS listing for the domain registration, but..that can be hidden too...for a fee! :)
3. Is there a way to set up a shopping cart that would automatically refuse a certain states order?
