hiya sweets.....well lager has alot to do with weight gain, just like any other alky drink....i gained weight when i drank wine all the time....and it is known that if you stop drinking for a month, you lose a stone...it's true...i stopped and i lost alot of weight, also i changed my diet to healthier foods, exercised more...got on me bike and went for a 2 hour trek....it pays off in the end, so if you think you can cut out the lager then go for it, kids are more active than us fuddies so they burn off alot of weight, hence being skinny....lol......good luck...x

Kids tend to be much more active than adults. They run around playing a lot - having boundless energy.
Adults sit around a lot - they drive to work, sit at a a desk all day and watch TV at night. Plus your metabolism slows down when you get older.
Basically you can get away with eating lots of fattening food when you are young and not getting fat , if your metabolism is that way inclined. It can become harder when you are older.
Then again some people just have the sort of metabolism that doesn't seem to put on weight. I ate truckloads of sweets and chocolate and crap on top of my four square home cooked meals a day when I was a kid and was so skinny they thought my mum wasn't feeding me!!! I was like a little stick!! But I was also very active and had inherited my dad's fast metabolism. I still don't put weight on now at 35.
I also know people who only have to look at a MaccyD's and they put on two stone! Sadly we all have different metabolisms and this is not something the anti-obesity brigade allow for.

Yep, lager and the fact that Kid's metabolism works at a much faster rate. Plus there energy levels help them burn off more of what they eat.
If you can't lose the weight, try giving the kids some lager and they should get as fat as you.

Well if you admit you're fat and your children are eating the same as you then it is only a matter of time before they catch up with you. Have you ever thought of setting an example for your children and eating a healthy balanced diet. I'm in no way criticising you, I know it's hard nowadays to find the time to prepare a meal and it's easier to just throw something pre-packed in the oven or microwave. But if you instill the idea of eating healthily into your children now, they'll thank you for it when they're older.

larger is definatly loaded with calories and will definatly make you overweight if you drink enough of it. Plus your kids are younger and probably have a higher metabalisim than you. My friend eats and eats and eats all day and just eats crisp and chocolate i really mean i dont know where she puts it all but shes really thin she doesnt work out or diet or anything.
