Before you answer honestly read these scriptures which show the corporeal nature of the resurrection... Don't even bother answering unless you read these details. Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Isaiah 37:12 ...Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves...Matthew 27:52-53 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Yes, but why do we suppose a "spiritual" body does not include flesh and bones? A resurrected body consists of a body of flesh and bones quickened by spirit, not blood, thus the whole becoming immortal, never to be separated by death again.

Why are you so repulsed by the idea of God being in a body of "flesh"?

Okay birds. I was talking about Job! Job clearly stated that after his body was eaten up by worms that he will again see God in the flesh, meaning that the resurrection is a reunion of the immortal spirit with the body of flesh and bones! Is there any clearer language than this? The resurrection is physical.

After Jesus was resurrected, many times, many did not know it was him if he did not make sure they knew.
Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: 35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
1Cor.15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Friend you try to prove a point & the only point ou pove is that you don't know how to read or Interpretate scriptures. Lets go to Job 19:26, Of course you have to read the whole itting, Who is talking here, Not Jesus But Job, Jesus was not even born yet. Job looked for his redeemer & Job said abouit his redemmer to come, Anf Though after my skin worms (WHO SKIN WORMS, NOT JESUS BUT JOB) destroy this body, yet shall in my flesh shall I see God, I will lead up to your other questions. Now Isa. 26:19 Isaiah is looking at prophecies, concerning the endtime, & not when Jesus is dead in the ground with all the other dead, Jesus rose from the dead on the 3rd day, while these other will not rise until the resuurection, except the old Testament saints, they ose when Christ rose from the dead, & it still was only 3 days. Now Isa. 37:12 It speaks nopthing of what you re tyin o say, you say it says that God will raise up all dead, in Isa,37:12 Show me that subjcet was even mentioned. Now Matt. Yes when Jesus rose from the dead, He also brought every OT saints with hime, & took them all to heaven, There is no OT sainst bones in the earth. That I will agree with. Now Luke 24:39Some Apostles did not believe that Jesus rose fom the dead, especially Thomas. & today Jesus still bears those scars in heaven, why because when he comes back to rule & reign those Jewish people will ask him, from where did you get those scars, & Jesus will say in the house of my Friends(JEWS) so what is your point.

The Bible says that:
Philippians 3:21 - Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
And you have quoted Luke 24:39
Luke 24:39 - Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
I think that we should remember that the blood of Adam is why we are born in sin. This scripture causes me to think that our new body can not contain the blood of our fleshly body that we recieved at physical birth. Because no sin shall enter into Heaven.

I believe that the reference to resurrection in physical body was, in fact, a reference to re-incarnation. The bible and its passages were written up by various people, and they gave Christ's words an interpretation as it suited them, or as they best understood them. Christ was often speaking metaphorically, many interpreted his words literally. I believe that the resurrection itself should read: "The release of the Soul from the body, with the Soul continuing its life on the other side." The fact that Christ's remains are now being discovered, would certainly support this. And as the final passage says: "A spirit has no body", at least no body of flesh, but a body of energy.
If my thoughts interest you, perhaps you could read "Rational Spirituality" available on the Dhaxem website. It ceratinly opened my eyes, and left me with no question unanswered.

Christians do not say the body of Christ was "shed"... The Body of Christ was changed after He left the Tomb. He told Mary, the first to see Him, not to touch Him as he had not yet ascended to The Father. When he did his body was changed into the immortal form. He then returned and spent 40 days with his followers before returning to Heaven.

I never knew of any Christian religion that thought that about Christ - after all the tomb was empty. I know several religions that think that about His followers (that the soul goes to heaven while the body is in the grave) but scripture doesn't uphold that belief.

He did not shead his earthly body (or there would be remains if he did)! he had the ability to transform his body from earthly to a spirtural body, after all he is god.
