Buy a guitar. Play along with your favorite records. If you can develop your ear, you're home free!

Pay 20 bucks and get some lessons. Or pick up some guitar tabs of songs you want to learn and go from there. You can also watch some instructional video's on youtube. Some aren't very instructional at all. But still often have useful tips. Also at some grocery stores and magazine stores you can find guitar magazines that come with instructional videos. Check those out.
I don't know anything about drums though dude. sorry.

Buy a book or a video and teach yourself, or sign up for private lessons. If you're in college, most colleges offer guitar classes or lessons.

my dad got me these papers on line that have all the chords on line somewhere. it was a print out its called the ultimate guitar chord chart
