RVD has a fairly good shake here in the WWE. Really, he should have been fired last year when he was busted smoking weed. He got punished, but not as harsh as the WWEs no tolerance policy dictates he should have. All in all he has had a good push in the WWE, he is a multiple time IC champion, he united the IC belt with the Hardcore and European belts. He had an intense run as WWE champion and he got to be ECW champion. In fact it was in part thanks to RVD that ECW was resurrected, word is that he went to Vince with the idea for One Night Stand and latter the new ECW. If I was Rob, I'd stay in the WWE. But personally, I'd like to see him in TNA, if for nothing but seeing him compete in the X division.

His contract expires towards the end of this year, so it's going to be awhile if he does jump. His original reason for leaving was the mistreating and misuse of the ECW originals, but I think it revolves mostly around his unpush after the drug incident. Plain and simple, TNA doesn't have a wellness program, and even if they did, they wouldn't fire such a bankable superstar. I'm pretty sure Jeff Hardy entered that promotion coked out of his mind and they let him stick around, why? because he has a rabid fan base that is downright embarrassing to be a part of.

Since Eddie Guerreros death, Vince has become very strict with drugs abuse issues ,and he checks his wrestlers now and then to see if they are consuming.

WWE is using the "contract expiration" again, thats the oldest trick in the book.

The real reason is that Vince found out that RVD was taken drugs, and told him to enter rehab. But RVD didn't want to take rehab so Vince fired him. Exactly the same happened with Test, lets see what crazy excuse do they make with him.

It is true that RVD is leaving WWE when his contract expires this summer. He is leaving because of his pot bust and the fallout from that combined with the back stage politics that have stiffled his career. He will most likely take Sabu and go to TNA.

well what i`ve heard was that RVD declined the invite to go to Iraq. He is in the last year of his contract so don`t be surprised if he does go to Tna and then Sabu goes with him.

Hey "david l" if it was "purely financial reasons" do you HONESTLY think TNA can offer more money then WWE? And I'm not positive he will leave and if he does don't expect a huge ratings jump. Cage didn't budge it, Sting didn't budge it and Angle barely nudged it.
