I have a project for my science class on mammals and I chose chinchillas and harp seals for my topics. I know that chinchillas weigh 16-24 ounces but I need some way to show my classmates just how little that is so I need some kind of comparison. But the only problem is I have no clue what could weigh that much. Help?

A dear friend of mine (or rather, a friend who has recently crossed the line to lover, but we are NOT a couple) has eyes for only one blossom. And that would be the serene beauty of the lotus.
However, my lover and I are two birds of the same, off-beat feather. We have a taste for the Dark and Gothic. As such, he has always wanted to see a black lotus.
I decided that I want to grow him a lotus now. But I need to ask, how on earth can I properly dye one black?

My family is this competition thing and we get $5 for every pound we lose, but you see, my dad weigh around 230, my step mom 215 and my step sis 220..and i weigh 145..so im thinking that since they have more fat that it will be easier for them and im going to get jipped out of money..are there any goods ways that i can lose weight faster though? I dont want to sound conceited but i heard that its harder to lose wieght if youre not actually overweight.

Personally I would not because I believe that the ranking system is deciving. I also feel that belt test will lead the quailfy of martial arts to decrease because if the students are under pressure to learn certain things to pass the test, they'll neglect every other things.

Plus I believe students should decide on what their ranks are among themselve. That way the "alpha male/female" will be respected by others because of their skill and knowledge, not because of what they wear. Other good things is, it'll force the students to work harder to keep their "ranking" among themselve and encourage them to exchange teach and help eachother with their strenghtness and weakness.

I would like to hear opinion on this from others as well.

I am 51, SWF, with rheumatoid arthritis. Even with the latest medical techniques, I have pain and fatigue. Also, my only son was killed when he was 16. I have no real friends, and my family just really isn't there for me. Church and prayer doesn't seem to help. I counsel schoolkids, but I am miserable. I also don't make enough money to live on. Counseling and antidepressants haven't helped. Please help.

When I put a blank CD in my Laptop, it says "Windows cannot read this disc. The disc might be corrupted or it could be using a format that is not compatible wiht windows." But when I put in that same CD with a file on it, it reads it. How can I fix this problem?

Wow, we still had some money left over to spend on him but they told us he was ready to come home. When we picked him up he looked ten times worse then when we dropped him off. Its like they just wanted to get rid of him. He also looked like he has been sitting in his own urine and pheces the whole three days. We were very upset. We spent $1,700. for three days. Is there anything we can do? I want to report them but i'm just not sure if we can.
