Naproxen Sodium, generic, Naprosyn,presciption,Aleve,OTC version is a NSAID,non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug,used for diseases & conditions of bones and joints,like arthritis and post surgical pain,and for other conditions etc. Naprosyn comes with several warnings,this medication can cause destruction of the blood cell platelets,and erosion of the stomach lining,and perforation.Pregnant women and patients with liver disease should not take this drug Take care. Naproxen or Naprosyn is an anti-inflammatory/pain med that is available over the counter. It is used for aches, pains, headaches and arthritis etc. It is a good fever reducer as it is an anti-inflammatory med.

Naproxyn Sodium is an antiinflammatory. For me, it's the only OTC medicine that gets to deep pain like pulled muscles.

Naproxen is a pain medication.It was probably prescribed, because you have either fibromyalgia, carboltunnal, or arthitis in your elbows, neck, knees, large areas similiar to these.
