Wow, we still had some money left over to spend on him but they told us he was ready to come home. When we picked him up he looked ten times worse then when we dropped him off. Its like they just wanted to get rid of him. He also looked like he has been sitting in his own urine and pheces the whole three days. We were very upset. We spent $1,700. for three days. Is there anything we can do? I want to report them but i'm just not sure if we can.

Honey yes you can report them and should, they were very irresponsible to send a parvo dog home after 3 days still sick, and for that price you could have treated him for at least a week and a half. Please find another vet immediately!!!!! Shame on them! At the next vet ask him to help you report that vet for neglect and malpractice. Good luck. Go soon!
Yes the BBB can help, and they or the new vet should be able to direct you to the medical organization to report his negligence and add a bad mark to his medical license.

I would definitely call and speak with the doctor, try to find out the exact reasons he was discharged (i.e. did his WBC return to normal, had he stopped vomiting etc) What do you mean by he looked worse? Parvo pups tend to get worse before they get better, thats the hardest part of treating it. As far as him smelling like urine and feces, its possible. Parvo pups are too contagious, and usually too ill, to be walked outside. Add that with the constant diarrhea, and its bound to end up on them sometimes. Depending on how ill they are, the doctor may have deemed it too stressful to have a bath, but they should have been cleaning him up as best as possible all along the way (we use baby wipes and washclothes in those situations). They should have explained this to you before they discharged him (I always make sure to tell clients to expect they may be a little smelly). You can report them to the state vet board, but I would try calling and talking to them first.

I really havent ever heard of an experience like that... I am sorry that it happend to you. I would call the ER and tell them you are upset at the condition he was when you picked him up. Also you can report to the BBB. They keep a record of good and bad businesses
