recently we discovered my cat had OCD.. he has pulled out almost half of his fur.. he is an over groomer... I took him to the vet after I noticed that his grooming had gotten in the way of his daily life... he wasnt even eating.. anyway we did other test and she determined he had OCD -- obsessive compulsive disorder-- I had the idea to put a lamp shade collar on him, and it has been a week, it seems to have helped ... he licks his collar now but his hair is growing back.. my question is does anyone have any suggestion for things to do to help him.. I mean he cant live the rest of his life in the lampshade collar can he... also what do I say when people say we should put him to sleep.. my mother in law keeps stating she doesnt know who is crazier the cat or us.. for spending that much money on him.. but I love him and he is my cat even if he is special needs! sorry question plus venting alittle..

My children suffer from "night terrors". My oldest child seemed to outgrow it the same time they developed a form of childhood epilepsy.
Has anyone ever heard of this happening? I mean, night terrors being related to epilepsy?

one child lives and the parents say prayer saved their child, the second child died and his parents prayed just as much, why didn't prayer help the 2nd child? And if God already knows who he will allow to live, what's the point of praying?

Oh and the oldest child was really smart and entered a spelling bee and got really nervous and had disturbing dreams....anyway can anyone help me with this?...i think the title had the word freedom in it if that helps...=D

A week ago my boyfriend spilt red wine on my feature wall. It is a gold wall. And he got alot of area. Up, down, and on the mouldings. His opinion is," a little daub will do it". He thinks he can just paint everywhere the wine went, with the same color and I tried this theory of his. It didn't cover it up and even though I used the same color it looked darker and muddy. And what do I do about the shiny cream mouldings...stained in red wine? I feel the whole wall needs to be primed and repainted. He got alot of area with the wine and it looks terrible. Unfortunately, it is a very long wall and covers down the staircase. There's no way to stop in the middle. It might be costly(well actually was when painted a year ago) and I am ready to get estimates. What would you do? Also, this it not his first or second time spilling red wine and he hates white wine and he does not want to use a sippy cup/dripless. So, no wine in my home unless you do use a sippy cup and pay for the damage

I have a young (20-year-old) girlfriend who, despite my repeated pleasant requests and offers of encouragement and reward, cannot seem to get herself into a regular workout program. It is not that she is overweight at all, about 5'5" and 120lbs. I am just concerned because I work in the health care industry and know that good habits start young and people tend to start to get unhealthy during their college years and never get back on track, or have to work really hard to get back into shape. I would hate for her to have to experience that. I love her very much and am definitely beginning to think long-term. I guess I also think of not exercising as a bad habit like smoking that I would have trouble accepting in a partner. For the record, I consistently compliment her appearance. Is it just that she is young and doesn't think long-term? Is there anything I can do to encourage her?

i just did a tattoo and posted a question where everyone yelled at me for using a safety pin because theyre "impossible" to sterilize. first of all, its not like i found it on the street or walked up to the nearest hiv + guy to get it. this was a fresh from the factory straight out of the sealed container. secoundly ive never had any problems with them, ive done most of my peircings with safety pins and have never had a major infection. in fact the only major infection ive had was just following the peircing of my left lobe, and you know what this one i had professionally done, so i dont know what conclusions you could draw from this but, what the **** is the problem with safety pins?
