Rijksmuseum - you have to see the Night Watch by Rembrandt.
Van Gogh Museum - incredible collection
Anne Frank House - very impressive.
Tour along the canals
Visit a Diamond Factory
Hortus Botanicus (Botanical Gardens)
Heineken Brewery
Flower Market
surroundings:
Volendam a beautiful fisherman´s town
Marken where people still wears traditional clothes.
Alkmaar with its cheese market.

interesting honeymoon destination. good choice, though. Go when the weather is warm enough to sit outside in the outdoor cafes. enjoy good heineken beer, tour the canals, visit the ann frank house, eat great indonesian food and visit world class museums. only customs or differences are that it's a pretty liberal place (which I like). the red light district is fascinating, so walk through that. the coffee houses are something you don't see every day in n. america, that's for sure.

Where are you from? I'm from the USA. One custom I heard was you are NOT to take pictures of the ladies in the windows in the red light district.
The people speak darn good English. I'd recommend trying the drugs, just take your time with them - don't overdo it.

Take the river cruise and visit the Rembrandt museum. If you can, go during tulip season. It is an amazing sight.
