We live together and have so for the past year. We both make good $, 110,000 plus combined. I'm 25. I'm 1/2 black, 1/2 mexican and She's chinese... (other note: if we have kids, they'lll be 1/2 chinese 1/4 black 1/4 mexican and his/her last name will be WHITE!...LOL)

When I first got with her 2 yrs ago her parents hated me and never would speak or look at me... Now they're ok with it and actually very nice to me... I am a very proud person... Should I just forgive them?... Or Ask them why they were so hateful in the beginning? I would always say that they would never be around my kids or even invitied to the wedding for the way they treated me... Is this wrong, they are very old school chinese so I think if I brought this up they would be offended, should I care and make them see that people are just people?

Also thinking of funny ways to Propose... any ideas?

pro and con of being over-protective of you child, teen or college student? My mother is over protective to the next power Im an adult and she still has this over protective thing over me. My sister was a bit aggressive so my mom wasnt so much over protective with her but im passive I have gotten degrees and have been good whole life but my mom still see me as a child. I think because of my mothers over-protectiveness throughout the years was the reason I came home after graduating from college. its a bit stressing because my sister did dumb stuff as a teen and young adult and my mom gave her freedom I never could do anything but go to school and my mom be on my a** like white on rice.my mother wont listen to me about her being over-protective but my sister who wasnt over-protective she has her own everything car, house, whatever; meanwhile me who my mom has been so over-protective I have degrees but I cant drive,im afraid of failure. People tell her the pros/cons of overprotecting?

I have a beta fish, and I am moving in a few months, the move is from Minnesota to Texas, which we will be moving with a Uhaul, so its like a 20 something hour drive with stops and such, I have a cocker spaniel I will have with as well which I know he will be fine but will my beta be ok? I have his original container he came in, which I use to put him in when I clean his tank, will I be able to put him in that container with water and have him in the front of the uhaul with us, obviously keep him outta the run and just watch him will he be ok? Or should I give him to someone else and not risk trying to transport him?

SO:
I installed the game, then clicked on the icon but the game doesn't start!
I have:
Celeron 2.66
512 RAM
intel 82865G graphics controller 96 MB video memory (internal)
Windows XP
I don't expect the best performance, but game should start right?
I observe process "engine.exe" in task manager. It loads about 170mb of memory and then terminates.
No black screens, no music, nothing, pointer freezes for 2-3 seconds and that's all.

Me and my boyfriend just made a year (today) but we almost broke up yesterday. Theres a lot of problems, but not really amongst ourselves, but with outside conflicts (which then affects us). We had break up near new years, and it was really bad - but we were back together after a couple hours. We always try to break up, but we never really can actually go through with it. I know I love him with all my heart, but i get too hurt easily with him, and he gets hurt too easily with me. We've tried to have some time apart to start things over, but we're never able to, and I can't seem to put a pause to our year. I have no idea what to do because when we fight I'm usually the one that has to fix things, then in the middle of our argument he tries to be all sweet and let it pass but I don't want to because I want to finish and get things clear - but it just makes me angrier when he does that! :( I need help... Sorry for making this so long..

3 men are checking into a hotel. The receptionist informs them that there is only one room available, for $30 however the room has 3 single beds. The 3 men decide to take the room and split the cost 3 ways and pay $10 each.

After they check-in the receptionist realises that he made a mistake. The rooms are discounted this evening to $25. As a result he's unsure of how to split the $5 refund between the 3 men. So he decides to give the three men $1 each back and keep $2 for himself.

So in total the men paid $27 for the room (3x$9). If the receptionist only kept $2 for himself, where did the last $ go?

about a year ago i was being stupid, so i pierced by belly button by myself, and i had it on for about half a year, but then my stupid friends kept poking me, and it wanted to rip off, then i took it off...

now theres a scar on my belly, and i know i shouldve put medication on it when the wound was still fresh, but now the scar is old, do you recomend any medication, or what you used to get an old scar healed?

In the 90's the US military did a war game on just what it would take to secure and subdue Iraq. They came to the conclusion that it would take 400,000 troops 4 to 5 years to achieve the objectives of setting up a democracy in iraq and that then it may not work. They predicted nearly 100% the things that have happened over the past 5 years. It is public record that vet benifits have been cut and that troops are getting poor equipment and not enough of it.
So I ask you who is it that is really not supporting our troops?
I am very proud of our troops and have done much to show it but I do not think given what we know they need and given what they are being supplied with they're mission can be successful therefore why throw teir lives away over an incompetent commander and chief that has armchair quartedbacked his generals since day one?

If someone youve only encountered in a forum/discussion board, and just had exchange chats for like 2-3 times only...
and then she asked something from you, an information which you failed to give coz of its confidentiality and then she started to get mad, and sounded so sarcastic? what would you think of her?
and when you gave the information she needed, she didnt even acknowledge the effort you did to satisfy her favor?
What is she?
A user or something?
