Many Christians in this forum have said that 'you shouldn't take the Bible literally' or that 'it was written simplistically because humans didn't have all the knowledge we have today'.
So,when a book's information appears debunked by later discoveries, isn't it the right thing to do to UPGRADE and UPDATE such book?
It has been done with the works of Einstein, Darwin, Bohr, etc.
Why not the Holy Bible?
I believe Christians should pay their respects to the Holly Book by making it more accurate, in such aspects as:
Earth is not flat
There were lots of Dinosaur species, not just the "Behemoth"
Some species feed on other species, and others are hermafrodites, so Noah's Ark's animal couples wouldn't work
Jesus must likely had lice, and since they ate and drank from his flesh and blood, they were probably the very first apostles.
Sort of thing.
