i have started taking my microgynon pills again after a two month break. i started two months or more ago and have not stopped for the 7 day break since then. i have just began to have very slight and faint bleeding and so i stopped the pill. now the bleeding has increased like a period.there is a slight discharge. is this a side effect of not breaking from the pill as instructed or could it be something else. going to the doctors soon but just thought to ask.

Sometimes if you go back to back with the pill (2 months in a row) you can spot/bleed faintly with discoloured discharge. If you have stopped taking it you will have a 'period' the same way you do when you have your week off.
You have to be careful messing around with your hormones, if you have re-started your pill, after 2 months off, at the wrong time this could affect your cycle.
When you go to the doctors she/he will instruct you when to start taking it again.

One side effect for me was my 2 year old daughter! I seriously took it religiously and still got preg!

Didnt have bleeding or spotting though, although alot of women do, its best to speak to the docs as they can try you on another of the many types out there, Im now on Cilest (spelling).
