Being the co-director of a rescue, it's up to me and my partner to make the decision to take a dog into the rescue or not. One of our dogs that we had taken in, we were really attached to. He was older. He was adopted and was doing great with his family. The oldest son of the family, 10, was petting him, accidentally touched the dog's infected ear, and the dog turned around and snapped at him, catching a hold of the kid's face. Becuase of the dog bite, and a rabies scare that's going on here, Animal Control was called and demanded that the dog be put to sleep. (Please don't go on about dog breeds and vicious dogs, the dog was a lab). We were able to work it out to have our vet do it instead of Animal Control, that way, the family can be there to say good bye. I've never had to deal with this before. I was wondering, for those of you who have, how did you deal with it?

Ok. I know that to be a mineral it must be inorganic (not coming from a living thing).

BUT heres where I'm confused - don't diamonds come from coal which is not a mineral because it came from the remains of plants long ago. SO - how can diamonds be a mineral if they come from something organic??

Can someone explain please?

We are looking at a 20' tall tower with three parallel sides. (perpendicular to the ground) The angled front face is @ 81 degrees. The upper portion of our tower is 5' x 3’ with its base measuring 2' x 3'. The center of gravity is out side of this base and it will tip over. How do I determine the amount of force required to prevent this. (Currently, two steel feet, connected to the towers base, are meant to prevent its tipping. I believe that due to the weight of each of the eight panels [50lbs each] and the degree to which the front face is angled, that the feet will not be sufficient to prevent its tipping unless additional weight is added to each footing) Please Advise

My boyfriend is 26 hes a 1st LT we have been talking about getting married because he might be getting stationed in Germany! So when we were in the midwest at Christmas with his family he said we will go to the court house if I get the job because I wont go without you. But now it looks like he is going to be getting the job and it stresses me out and scares me cause he will be gone for 2 years. When he told me I stayed strong and I was kidding and I said you cant go without me and he said well you cant go. So I dont know if he is just saying that or if he is going to propose and hes just trying to throw me off. Then this weekend I finally broke down and we both started crying and he said "you mean the world to me and I know that your the women I want to merry, I just dont know what to do." I have more than horrible credit, including a bankruptcy chapter 7, collection accounts, charge offs etc. I have it all pretty much. The government is even garnishing my wages for student loans. Why do I get flyers from banks and financial institutions telling me that they can help me regardless of my credit history, and when I can the first question is: "How good is your credit?" I'm trying to pay off my debts but I want to get a loan and just have one payment. Consolidation companies can't help, bank don't want to lend, I can't get government help cuz they are already garnishing my wages, and credit card would only give me about $500 credit line. I owe way more than that. I owe a total of $30K. Any suggestions as to what my options are.

My mom is not good with money. I have helped her in the past but she continues to have financial problems. She is raising my neice because my sister left with her boyfriend and is a drug addict so I feel like I should help my mom since she is raising my neice.
