What can make the baby come along faster? I just wonder b/c its close to my due date and i had my other children 2 weeks after my due date.

They say that when you have sex it "induces" labor. Its really when the guy comes in you but an orgasm helps the process also

Yes its true. An orgasm causes a release of a hormone called Oxytocin from your brain. It is the same hormone that causes contractions during labor. This hormone is also responsible for the milk let down reflex when you are breastfeeding. So, playing with your breasts can cause a release of this hormone, and may induce labor as well. The medication Pitocin, that docs give at the hospital to induce labor is a variation of the natrual hormone oxytocin that our body produced to begin labor.

You have gotten some interesting answers here....The striaght scoop is that yes, an orgasm is very helpful to initiating labor as your body releases hormones that help. The double wammy is if your husband ejaculates inside of you as well, this produces another kind of hormone that further assists the labor process. You can go another step ahead and stimmulate your nipples, agian this too releases hormones.
Walking is great exercise, but is not going to thrust you into labor. You need hormones!!!
And, then agian, the baby has its own time line and you are at the mercy of that!

Orgasms will not make the baby come sooner. I had sex late in my pregnancy. You can try walking and maybe your doctor can scrape the membranes. That sometimes creates contractions. Without going to the hospital and being induced, I don't know how to make the baby come sooner. I don't know why you'd want a baby early. It's better for them to stay just where they are until ready.

I dont think it is the orgasm. I think it is the sperm that lets something out and causes you cervix to efface and dialate which then causes contractions but.... you'd have to have sex like 2 or 3 times a day. *(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!)* J/K

It was true for me. Everytime I had sex I would have contractions. My doctor "took me off sex" until it was safe for the baby to come. (no pun intended)

yes true, i have an incompitant cervix and am not allowed to have sex or orgasm. sex is a good way to try and start labor, good luck and congrats.

ive heard it can but they also say its sumthing in a mans semen that helps the baby come sooner...
