The extremes are noise in the data. Global warming is the mean temperature.

When politicians and political talking head (invariably CONSERVATIVES) say there is no concensus with regards to global climate change, what they really mean is that there is no concensus in Wahsington. Find me a REAL environmental scientist who believes global climate change is a scare tactic invented by liberals. There are none. The truth is, we've known this was coming for a long time. Nothing has been done about it, because there is no money in saving the environment.
