some people seriously take offense if their musical tastes are insulted. maybe it's because i have liked punk and alternative...grunge, indie ("emo"...i could never keep up with all the categories) all my life and i am used to people tearing me apart, and i just don't care if they like what i like.

my young daughter gets upset if i say i don't like her music (she likes classic rock, metal...), and so i don't tell her how much it bugs me, but she feels free voice her distaste for mine. like i said, i don't care, but i have pointed out the double standard.

i thought it might just be age related but i burned a cd of several of my favorite songs and shared it with a co-worker today. he admitted to liking it. when he mentioned some other bands he likes, i said i hated that music. he said "oh thanks!"...sarcastically...but still huffy.

My 18mth old has recently migrated to his own bed. The first week was fairly good only sometimes getting out, but in this second week he has now made a game out of it by constantly getting out.

I have kind of worked out a way around this. I just hope I am doing the 'right' thing.

I let him have his bottle (which he doesn't fall asleep on, so I can't see what the problem is by letting him have it in bed). Then this is when the problem starts, he will then either stand at the door and try to get our attention or just run into the lounge room.

I then put him to bed several times b4 I shut the door (for 2 minutes only), which in this time he cries and then I can put him back in bed and sit with him (without eye contact) until he is too tired to worry about leaving the bed.

Is this too harsh or am I doing the right thing?

As the howling wind did blow
I get eerie feelings from below
I can hear the crickets beeping
I feel behind me, people creeping

I was alone out here tonight
Now my feelings, full of fright
Are these people I am feeling
Alive or am I dreaming

I turned round, and started staring
All I see is moonlight glaring
As I turn more to the right
Slowly staring into the night

Then my body slowly quivers
Breaking out in all shivers
I get bad feelings from my past

Do I run or stand my ground
Till these creatures come around
My heat pumps greatly from inside

These strange sounds that I am hearing
Closely by, and near a clearing
There is a howl and then a pause
Like somehow it had a cause

So I give out an evil blast
For ten seconds, it did last
It was like a curling yell
Whose ever out there, go to hell

My boyfriend & I met in 2000 a wk after starting uni, were together til Dec 05 when he dumped me, we were having problems but I didnt realise they were that bad.We got back 2gthr end Feb 06. We sorted our problems, re-built our relationship, moved in 2gthr & are v happy together. I think overall the break made our relationship stronger.

But it hurt me so much as I never stopped loving him & it was me that pushed to get back together, not him asking for me back.

He told me that while we were apart he had a relationship with a girl he met before we broke up. Only 3wks after they got together he slept with her, they did it about 10times over a 1-1.5 months relationship before he ended it.

I only slept with him after 1.5 yrs & considered waiting for marriage. I'm not really religious but it really meant a lot 2 me that we'd only slept with each other. Now that's gone & I dont know how to deal with it. It doesnt feel the same and I keep thinking about him with her. What can I do?

His family is very close to my husband and I - his uncle was the best man at our wedding, and his step-father was the minister. He joined the Army and graduated from basic training last August, and now is gone. I know that the, "I'm sorry for your loss," and, "He's in a better place," crap doesn't matter - it makes no difference, I speak from the experience of losing both of my parents, one in the last year. What do I say or do for them to make any difference, even just a small one? He meant so much to so many people, and has a twin sister and three younger sisters.... I'm just at a loss.

I heard that the Government are changing the holiday allowence to new employees from 20 days to 22/23 days.
Does anyone know if this is this true?
And also, if you have a website that you could paste on here, so I could read through it?
I am doing the registers at the moment for all the other workers and it has not been changed to this new way, so I dont know if its not true or, my work are trying to get away with it. :o(

My husband and i got our w-2 on the 22nd with the entire rest of the US military, and immediatley filed our taxes, however, today i rec'd a second and the employee name and address is different, it has our old address on it. The Employee ID no. is different and the amount is about 1,600 and some change which is a lot less than we made. I didn't work and we didn't work any extra jobs... what is up with this??? PLease help! Is it fake or something new I don't know about?
