I have a ring that is brass and has a rodium plating on it! If I wear it everyday I was wondering how long it will last before it starts to discolor! Which last longer a sterling silver or brass ring with a rodium plating?

i want to have a net connection in my home pc ,i wanted to have knowledge about which service provider to be preferred and whether to opt for broadband/dialup?acc.'ly i suppose broandband is better.but would love to know ur views/preferrences about this.acco'g to me i would use the net for 2-3hrs./day.

I've had a pleco in my 20 gallon tank for 2-3 weeks. He was doing fine at first. Today I realized I hadn't seen him in a few days. I found him hiding in one of my plants (all fake). His belly was severely sunken in and when I poked him with the net he didn't move. I thought he was dead so I scooped him up and held him in the net. He didn't move, then weakly flicked his tail and tried to swim away. He made it the few inches to the glass and was able to suction to it, but only for a few seconds. Then he fell on his back and remained upside down until I righted him with the net.

There's algae in the tank (on plants, glass, etc) and I also feed algae discs every few days. I put a disc in the tank right next to him just now, but he wouldn't go near it. I even placed him ON the disc. He still wouldn't eat.

I suspect he's a goner...but if not, what can I do? Also, what may have caused him to stop eating so that, if he does die, I don't have the same problem with a new pleco?

When I collect my 2 year old from nursery he always knows it's me behind the door (no window in door) and the staff there say he knows every time...and NO I don't have a personal hygene problem before anyone starts!
I don't pick him up at the same time each day so it's not conditioning either.

Recently the scientific community "officially" determined that it was "almost certain" that global warming is man made. But with only 150 of data to compare it too, and only a 1 degree increase in the average temperature in 50 years, how do we know that global warming isn't just statistically allowable heat variations natural occurrence, or a result of a changing sun that we are now just learning about?

I understand the conceptual idea behind green house gases and don't need the theory spelled out, I just want to know how our scientists can be so certain that it is man made green house gases that are responsible?

my daft chap tried putting a new light fitting up in the front room last night, after dropping it and smashing it on the floor the lights downstairs wont come on apart from the pantry one which is downstairs? the landing one is off but the rest of upstairs is on?
