It is a colibri lighter and I really don't want to trash it. I tried cleaning i out with canned air, but no luck. I have check sparke and when I press the pin on the bottom, gas escapes.

empty the entire gas tank, then refill it again. wait about 5 min and try to light it. you should hear a hissing sound that means you have enough gas coming out. not too loud of a hissing sound because that might blow out the flame as it's trying to light. you need a good mixture of the right gas for proper ignition. since you said that there's a spark, it should light. oh and make sure the spark is consistant so it doesn't miss fire. if it's still not working then something is wrong with that butane gas, try another brand. maybe it's not refined. get butane gas that are triple or ultra refined.
