Here's what I'm getting at. Ok the church is allegedly founded on Christ. And Jesus IMPLICITLY told his disciples to help the poor. And then we have this parable of Jesus and the rich man and Jesus telling the guy "go and sell all you have, give the money to the poor and come follow me".

Now ok so let us flash forward to the year 2007. The vatican over the years has amassed millions if not billions of dollars in net worth. By acquiring real estate, artifacts, religous relics, priceless works of sculpture and paintings. Now I don't ever recall reading in the bible where Christ told anyone to go and amass some artifacts in a building and amass some huge amount of wealth and man I think I recall him getting angry over people trying to make money off his fathers name.

So why, if the catholic church has all this money and wealth, can't they give out an education to the poor children of the world at no cost?

Why do only the better off parents get to send kids to their schools?

I would like to be able to access my ISP email account on my laptop as well as my PC - I have a basic wireless connection - how can I do this? I know I can do this via webmail but that doesn't have my address book. Do I have to set up my account on the laptop as well as the PC. Will I have access to my address book still? I just learned through the "military" Q&A that we have about 1.2 million military, of which no more than 330k are stationed overseas. (My concern was with whether we were being properly guarded here in the United States).
On 911 then we still had hundreds of thousands of military stationed here in the United States/ (Is that right)?
I'm just curious as to what these men and women were doing on 911? (serious question) -- I mean were they given any specific orders? It just seems (given post coverage information) that "scramble" jets weren't ordered that quickly and there was no info regarding the status of troops stateside.

My male cat is 19 and has lived in my house his whole life. My new cat is an 8 y/o female. I adopted her while I was living on my own but I moved back in with my parents 5 months ago. Both cats are fixed. I have been keeping the cats seperate for 5 months because when I first introduced them they displayed very agressive behavior and it seemed like the male was going to hurt the female. I had to stop the male from approaching her because it looked like he was going to attack. She fell on her back with her legs up in the air. Sometimes they even fight through the french doors that sepearte them. I am tired of moving cats from room to room. Will my cats hurt each other if I let them be in the same room together?

my two best friends, ashley and pj, of seven years has decided that they no longer want my friendship due to my recent boyfriend, tom. They've told me that i've changed recently and become a different person. Thing is is that the guy im with used to be friends with both of them but due to a falling out between Tom and Ashley, shes decided to try to make me choose between tom or her and pj. Pj really doesnt have a voice in this matter due to the sponge-like way he takes on ashleys opinions. But i feel i should clear up the fact that when they are all together they seem to get along which is why it all has come as a shock to me that they hate each other so much. Am I being a bad friend to date a guy who clearly is enemies with my best friends? are they being immature? i need an outside opinion of the situation because i think i've stewed on it for too long and my emotions are involved when trying to think of a way to handle it. I just received a news update that Darlene Conley who played Sally on the Bold & the Beautiful has passed away at age 72.
Darlene Conley was a veteran stage and television actress who played Sally Spectra on CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Conley was 72.

A CBS publicist said Conley died Sunday at her Los Angeles home surrounded by family and friends.

She was diagnosed with stomach cancer about three months ago.
