They are equal. The primary active ingredients in Percocet and Vicodin are oxycodone and hydrocodone respectively. 5mg of oxycodone is equal to 7.5mg of hydrocodone. Everybody is different and some people react differently than others but for most people they are the same.

According to the website, percoset is quite a bit stronger but could cause halicunations. Check with your pharmacist or Doctor to be sure.

I have used both at different times for broken bones....

Normally the physician prescribed Percocet for my arm and after rotator cuff surgery. Vicodin ESS (7.5mg) for my ribs.

If one doesn't relieve the pain talk to you doctor and ask for a change of medication.

honestly all I can say is percoset make me feel less pain than vicodin.
