Before I say the details, this is due tomorrow.

Two friends were driving on the highway when they got a flat tire. First they took off the hubcap. Then they unscrewed the four lug nuts-the screws that hold the tire in place. They put the inverted hubcap down on the road and carefully placed the lug nuts inside the hubcap. Then they removed the flat.

As they were in the process of putting on the spare tire, another car came along, hitting the hubcap and scattering the four lug nuts where they could not be found. The driver of the other car felt sorry, so he stopped to help. The two friends followed his advice, and in a little while they were back on the road again. What did the man tell them to do?

My guess is that the man gave him a ride. Any other answers?

When we moved in together about a year ago things were good we both worked, had common goals and enjoyed each others company. 10 months ago she got laid off, I encouraged her to find a new job, she had made a little effort but nothing came of it. Days turned to weeks, weeks to months and here I am almost a year later and when I get home this evening she will be sitting there watching tv hoping I bought her smokes. Our relationship has deteriorated along the way with me now in a position where I feel like I have a 30 year old kid to provide for. I care about her to the point of not being able to toss her out on her as_ she has no friends or family to turn to and no means to take care of herself so here I am trapped by this woman who stays home all day every day, draining my time, my money and my soul. I really do not know what to do.

since about a week before my brother in laws death my mum seems to be always blowing up at me if say for example i don't reply straight away to something that is said or if i am quiet one day & she doesn't know why because she never bothers to ask.i'm 18 yrs old & the youngest & at the moment my brother lives with us & my sister her bf & her daughter live with us,but allthe time its me that gets shouted at for doing next to nothing, i think the most i have ever done is told my mum to shut up & i know its not nice but when you have someone in your face all the time it happens.like just before i went out of the room & i was heading back to my seat when my mum said i was giving her a nasty look i would've admitted doing it had i actually been looking at her at the time & then she goes off on one telling me if i do one more thing then my bags are going to be packed & she doesn't care where i end up.its odd because i'm the only one who has a job that has prospects as a polce officer.. help?

Why in most high schools do the prettiest girls are seen with the star athletes? A pirate was talking to a "land-lubber" in a bar. The land-lubber noticed that, like any self-respecting pirate, this guy had a peg leg, a hook in place of one of his hands, and a patch over one eye. The land-lubber just had to find out how the pirate got in such bad shape. He asked the pirate, "How did you lose your leg?"

The pirate responded, "I lost me leg in a battle off the coast of Jamaica!" His new acquaintance was still curious so he asked, "What about you hand. Did you lose it at the same time?"

"No," answered the pirate. "I lost it to the sharks off the Florida Keys." Finally, the land-lubber asked, "I notice you also have an eye patch. How did you lose your eye?"

I was just wondering what, if any, remedies there are for curing or calming down palpitations when they arise. I am a 24 year old male who has had anxiety and panic attacks since 2001. Even when at home relaxing my mind is working over time and my heart races and palpitates. I am naturally more aware of my own heartbeat and every beat it makes due to my anxiety and general pre occupation with the way i feel.

If anyone knows, what can be done to limit palpitations and help you relax and concentrate on other things so that you constantly worry and hear every single beat.

Most people don't go through this and i would give anything not to also. It seriously affects my life this anxiety and i am trying to find ways to drastically decrease the impact the symptoms of it has on me.
