OK, I don't know about fancy restaurants (I'm not fancy like that... yet) but here's where I go when I want good pizza:
If I'm at home with my boyfriend and we just want to order pizza we go for Big Mama's and Papa's Pizza. See the link below. OK, there are too many reasons why this place is amazing, but here are some. They have a really great topping variety - from your run of the mill mushrooms and sausage to sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, breaded eggplant, and even beans (they have a Mexican-themed pizza). They have a whole bunch of locations in the city. And if that's not all, on their website, you can choose from 4 different Italian songs while you make your selection, and even watch a silly Flash animation of Big Mama and Big Papa talking about how awesome pizza is. Oh, and the reason why they're BIG is because they're the only place that makes 36 inch pizza. (I personally love their Mediterranean toppings - eggplant, artichoke, pesto, feta, sundried tomatoes, etc.)
On the Sunset Strip, right west of San Vicente, there is Frankie and Johnnie's. It's soo tasty! Their crust tastes really good. They say that the secret is in the water (as in, NOT using the nasty LA tap water in their dough). I'm a New Yorker originally, and this is the closest I've found to a really good NYC slice (lemme know if you find another spot). It's also a celebrity hot spot, if their autographed walls are anything to go by. And they're open really late, so after you see a show at the Viper Room, or the Roxy, or the Key Club, you MUST go there. (My personal fave is the White Pizza.)
Z Pizza on the corner of Santa Monica Bl. and San Vicente is pretty good. Great themed pizzas! Forget CPK!
My boss tells me that the Rainbow Bar and Grill (on Sunset, right next to the Roxy) has amazing pizza too, but the geriatric 80's hair dudes kinda creep me out, so I don't know first-hand.
Just promise me that you won't have the "pizza" that they sell on Hollywood Bl. It will make you cry. And then heave.

i don't understand your tastes, yet of that have been me applying, i might the two circulate to Chipotle (nook of Sepulveda Blvd. and Grand Ave.) or Qdoba Mexican Grill (east from Aviation Ave. And Rosecrans Blvd., next to the San Diego Fwy.). Yeah, it particularly is not genuine Mexican nutrition, even though it could nonetheless be properly worth your on an identical time as. They the two serve jumbo burritos, so if that's what you're yearning, choose for it. fatherland Buffet's (Sepulveda Blvd. and Manchester Ave.) additionally particularly on the factor of the LAX. nutrition from the buffet there is particularly kick-***, particularly the dessert. besides, those are my thoughts. there are various eating places around the section, so the alternative is yours.
