Ok, I just took a pregnancy test, but one line is very dark and the other is VERy light. Does it still count?

As long as it appeared witin the time limit--usually 10 minutes, and it is the same color as the other line--one light blue line one dark blue line or one light pink and one dark pink line, and as long as you can reasonably see the line without having it hold it a certain way or under super-bright lights just to make it out--then yes, it's a line!

A line is a line, no matter how faint. When I first took a pregnancy test, it came out like that. So I didn't think I was pregnant. The next day, we got one of those ones, that actually say "pregnant" or "not pregnant" I ended up being pregnant. So I would wait a week and let your hormones build up and test again or I would buy one like I used. Either way, I'm pretty sure you're pregnant. Congratulations!

Don't jump the gun. This happened to me too a couple of years ago, and after a second pregnancy test did the same thing, I went to the clinic and had a doctor administer one. It came back negative. The antibiotics I had been taking for a UTI had a caused a false positive and made my period skip a month. It's a little embarrassing after your fiance's already called family members to tell them the news, then has to call them back and explain what happened. Don't come to any conclusions until a doctor checks you out, because there are a lot of things that can cause a false positive on a test.

I had the same question when I took my test!! It definitely turned out to be positive...I ended up with twins. Congratulations a faint line counts.

One line is always darker than the other. The faint line that you're seeing indicates that you are most defiantly pregnant. All pregnancy tests that i have taken, with both pregnancies, were faint lines.

any second line is positive, no matter how different the darkness. My first positive was so faint I didn't even know if it was really a line, but they usually get darker as your hormone level increases. Congrats, you're preggers!

A line, wether it is dark or light is positive. I could barely see the line when I took one, it was just because I was so early. I was only like 3wks

If you read the packaging it will tell you it doesn't matter how dark that second line is....but my suggestion would be to get another test and test first thing tomorrow morning..

Congrats!!!
