For the most part I'm pretty selective in the things I watch e.g. music videos, movies, some music, because of the way it makes me feel afterwards. For example I don't allow myself to watch a lot of romance movies because they usually have some hero stud in it that's well... reminiscent of none of the men I've ever met in my lifetime... and music videos (referring to the kind where all the women and men have perfect bodies etc). I love entertainment as much as the next gal, and consider myself an attractive women with a great head on her shoulders... it's just after watching some forms of entertainment it leaves me feeling inadequate, unattractive or empty sometimes. I understand the thrill of getting to vicariously be someone else for a short period of time is fun for the moment, this is afterall why most of us are attracted to most forms of entertainment to begin with, to experience something we normally don't get from our everyday lives... the after effects however aren't always fun

Heya My 6yr old daughter has spina bifida and had to repeat kindergarten this year. I spoke to her teacher today and she was concerned that gabi (my daughter) was behind at math. She got average on her report card but the teacher says gabi is not where she wants her to be at, because she did kindergarten last year too. So when my daughter and I came home tonight I taught her counting backwards from 10 and writing them. She learned them quick within 30 mins she was writing and saying them. Then after that I taught her addition like 1+4 = , and made her count on her fingers and she got all the questions right, it amazed me. She has always caught on to things fast like she learned how to tie her shoes at 3 1/2 and it took her around 15 mins to learn. Last year her teacher stated she gets the harder stuff right that the other kids had difficulty with, But she has trouble with the easier stuff. Her teacher states she needs to be pushed, and shes not focused. What do you guys think?

Last week I was waiting for a friend to enter the US on vacation. He had to wait in a line with his visa and passport to get some special "permission slip" to go beyond the border city. There were 10 people in this line, and we waited for over 2 hours while at least 5 border officers drank coffee, talked on personal cell phones, played on the computer, ate snacks, and talked about their weekends. Eventually everyone in line was told they did not have the right paperwork (even with passport and valid visa) and had to go home. Upsetting, but my real issue is...I am a tax paying citizen of the US, and when I saw the border officers lounging around like it was a Sunday brunch....I was upset!! I got the feeling they didn't have US citizens in their offices very often, and were not used to dealing with people who have actual RIGHTS. I want to know who I can contact to report abuse of taxpayer dollars. I don't pay taxes so people can sit around on their butts all day.

I used CPUz to check my core speed, and found out that in normal condition (without loading anything), it runs with 1/2 speed. Today, after months i use CPUz to check again, the core speed increases to full speed in the same condition (without loading). I wonder what happened and how could it affect my computer. I don't think my comp got virus, but. . . i don't know!! please help me out.

My dad has been here for 8 days and for starters I have never trusted him as he has a twisted version of reality. I have spent my whole life getting away from the deciet that has become a HUGE part of how they live and has prevented them from growing and maturing. Now he has come 683 miles and I just found out that he has been lieing about me to my mother as though I am some incompetant moron. I have tried to be patient and I don't want to hurt his feelings but I cannot deal with his lies anymore, including to me! How do I say, "Ok, its time to drive home, and not hurt his feelings?

I have a couple ideas for wedding favors for a May wedding. Small crowd - need only about 15 total. Also, we're giving out bubbles at the church.

Which is your fav: Cookie cutter with 'recipe for love', coffee or tea with 'love is brewing' cards, small candle holder with tealight or our color m&m/jelly beans wrapped in organza, 'Seeds of love' in silver pail?

Any other great ideas besides these? Thx a ton!

I own a 98 nissan frontier that I rarely drive, only when I have to help my bum friend move from apt to apt, kidding Tony. I want to perform an engine swap but was wondering what would be the best fit. I know you can swap out a 240sx engine with a sr20det, with some minor modification to the car's tranny and brakes, but would this be possible to do to a frontier? If so has anyone seen this before? Or any other engine swapping suggestions would be appreciated. I'm not sure but I think the frontier and 240sx share a similar engine, a ka24(4cyl) if I'm not mistaken.

Hi Iam a mother of one child he is almost two yrs old. Ever since i gave birth i've had an anxiety problem at first i thought it was lack of sleep now that he's almost two i know thats not the problem i've been way more sensetive and ready to snap at the littlest of things i always seem angry or worried and its affecting my life did my hormones change after giving birth? can postpartum depression last this long?or is this just how every mother feels?? please help i want to feel happy like i used to!! Is there any other moms who feel like i do? i know people are gonna say get help but im weary of anti -depressents!!(if that is the case) thanks for your time :)

OK So there is this guy that I've known for close to a year and we were aquaintances. Somehow along the way I guess we both began to like each other but we eventually stopped conversing. I still like him and think he's a cool person but he's very distant now. We've endured several incidents... many of them ending with me making a complete fool of myself which is why we probably don't talk anymore. Anyway, I asked him if he would help me and he told me he would buy he hasn't come through for me. Now I need to know how do I handle this. I was trying to slowly work my way back in but it's like he won't allow it. He's a Virgo and I'm a Capricorn. I'm not a real harsh person but I think I embarrased him in front of his friends and now it's like he's distant. Maybe I have scared him away which seems weird to me because he will speak to me from time to time. I don't know... I'm really confused. Are there any psychologists or really smart people who understands people that can explain this?

I took a pregnancy test tonight. The Walgreens version of First Response. Right away this very very thin blue line shows up. It was a lot thinner than the control line but you can still see it. I was due the 10th, but since the 9th have been having a brown discharge that stopped last night. Any ideas?
