I know exactly how you feel. I lived like that for 8 years and was on many different medications for it. By turning to Jesus, he has delivered me from all of that stuff. I've been off all medications for over a year. I had tried many times to go off on my own but failed miserably. Jesus will deliver you too if you turn to him and ask. He is always faithful.

Seriously, get some medical help. My cousin was the same way after having her third child and her regular obgyn told her not to worry. This went on for a few years and she spiraled out of control, her husband took her to another docotor who diagnosed her with the postpartum depression. She went on the medication, which made her a bit out of sorts at firts but in a short time she had her life back. Their is no shame in getting help if you need it. BTW: Her son is in college now and they are both fine.

I haven't had a child, but my sister has... and postpartum can last years if goes untreated. I know that anti-depressants are scary, but there are other options your doctor can offer. Drugs are an effiecent way and they don't have to be in huge amounts. Other options I've heard of - exercise - changing your diet - getting out more (at least once a week) to help relieve stress - and getting a massage to release tension --
I would say your doctor would be the best one to answer though...Good luck!

I am so happy, it was only a 35 minute drive ( 70 minutes total) but absolutely no sign of anxiety or panic i shopped till I dropped - brilliant! I will now go for the next stage DUAL CARRIAGE way, probably at the weekend, with my husband accompanying me first then the solo drive, if successful the final stage of driving on motorway

it sounds like a hormonal issues, and maybe you had some anxiety problems before you had your child and they just weren't obvious to you. talk to your Dr. as having a child does cause an upheaval with your hormone levels even 2 years after giving birth. good luck!

You probably should not walk, but run to get some help asap. Maybe you should get some family member to take the baby for about 10 yrs, by then, you should be able to cope with parenthood, other wise it is not fair to the child to end up abused. Sorry I do not believe in postpartum depression. That is a invented disease, to sell more pills and let especially women get by with doing terrible things to their children. Like Andrea Yates, since she got by with doing what she did, now suddenly she is so much better she wants out of Rusk Mental Hosp. in Texas.

postpartum depression can last for years. go talk to your doctor about maybe getting some tests done to check your hormone levels.
