My dad has been here for 8 days and for starters I have never trusted him as he has a twisted version of reality. I have spent my whole life getting away from the deciet that has become a HUGE part of how they live and has prevented them from growing and maturing. Now he has come 683 miles and I just found out that he has been lieing about me to my mother as though I am some incompetant moron. I have tried to be patient and I don't want to hurt his feelings but I cannot deal with his lies anymore, including to me! How do I say, "Ok, its time to drive home, and not hurt his feelings?

If you are a grown woman and you have your own home and he is in it and you know for a fact that he is lying about you tell him to get out and not come back. Life is short. Be happy and don't let the crazy foolish people in the world bring you down. Let is go. You will feel stronger and better. I don't know if you have kids but if you do you should not want these people around them.

Tell him how you feel about it and he need not lie anymore. Tell him that stop hurting you and your mom. Life have to go on. Or you can ask him to leave both of you alone since you fine no peace if he is around. The choice is yours. Take a right decision. Think of the consequences before you do anything thing.

no, tell him everything you just told us to him. he needs to understand he is hurting you in some way (mentally, emotionally) and how you want him to change for the better or leave. tell him this, tell him how you feel. its the only thing to do, so it wont harm you as you keep growing up and holding this in. trust me, i kept a lot of stuff when my dad would be around, i blew up at him few years ago, years later, we got to rebuild our relationship, though this relationship would have been better if i was a child or teen.

tell your dad now to make everything or somewhat everything a bit better

Be honest with him. As hard as it will be for both of you, tell him to go!! You need to take care of you. If he doesn't go, there is no reason you have to be around him. Move on with your life and let him live with his lies. Good luck.
