I have worked it out for a Calculus problem, but I am unsure about whether or not my answer is correct. I found that, for an equilateral triangle with each side a length "b", the height of the triangle is h = (sqrt(3)/2)b; thus, the area is A = .5 b h = (sqrt(3)/4)b^2 (or .25 *sqrt(3) * b^2). Is this correct?

What is a calorie and what does my body do with it?

I understand how my body processes proteins and carbs/sugars, how that creates certain reactions that may translate to weight gain, but I don't understand what my body does when it encounters a "calorie."

I know that answers.com says, "A unit of energy-producing potential equal to this amount of heat that is contained in food and released upon oxidation by the body." I don't know what to do with that.

Can someone provide an explanation of what my body does with a calorie? How it reacts to it and how that translates to weight gain?

This is yrs before we started dating.

1) A few yrs back, my bf dated this girl for 2 yrs which ended up him getting dumped by her for another girl. The catch is he would still get booty calls from her. They cont. having sex for several months until he got pissed off at her girlfriend & blurted out they were still having sex. His ex got pissed & they never had sex again. He says he cont. sleeping with her to try to win her back.

2) He dated another girl that he fell for pretty hard & easily. The catch w/ this one is my bf was a rebound. She was newly divorced. Before they broke up he got her tickets to see a concert. He told her if she wanted to see it she had to go with him on a 2 day trip & have sex w/ him. I original thought this was a 1 day trip & she had to sleep w/ him after the concert to make her look bad. But instead it was a plan to win her back. This is his statement "I was pissed that I didn't win her back but at least I got lots of sex out of it."

since downloaded the IE 7 from yahoo I can't use internet IE at all I've had to use Netscape and it isn't user friendly? Has anyone else had problems with error messages with IE 7? I always get can't connot t the page, I've disable and even trie removing software and firewalls.
