dogs get fleas when they are exposed to fleas.
If your dog is around strays or other dogs with fleas they will receive fleas from that animal. If you are concerned about fleas, then your dog(s) should wear a flea collar or wear Advantage to prevent fleas. The stuff works> In addition be careful about what other animals your dogs socialize with. Fleas also take harbor in Barkdust, if your area of the country uses barkdust as landscaping material, expect fleas in that too.

Yes but you can keep most of them off using flea powder, flea collars, and flea shampoo. The Vet's also have injections to give the dogs now to keep fleas off them.

it depends on where u live and what type of dog u have....small dogs don't get them too bad....and if u live in the country then it is more likely for them to get fleas.....
