Any will be fine as long as you plan on getting rid of it before the warranty expires. Otherwise, get a "foreign" one. (and don't kid yourself, those are mostly foreign too)

I am a Dodge fan! I would go with the cummins turbo diesel, I don't own one or know much about the cummins. Plus the new 2007 body styling looks amazing. There is plenty of room Especially if you get the Mega-cab. Now the Hemi Engine gives plenty of power and the new version goes from a V8 down to a V4 when you are not needing all the power.

i mechanic for a living, and the ford and the dodge are real close as far as power and room inside goes,,but the dodge has more hauling room than the fords does ,and will out pull it under a load,,i seen this for my self,,but over all the dodge is the better choice,,there having less problems from the dodge, than the fords and Chevy's are, good luck hope this help,s.

First off I don't see why people like you are so interested in giant trucks that get 15mpg when you don't do anything with them!! If you insist I would get a dodge. The cummins diesel is bullet proof, the best diesel truck engine around. Also I would recommend getting a Dakota or at least a ram 1500... I'm not one of those environmentalists freaks, but I get tired of people driving huge trucks that don't know how to use them!! here are some links:

it depends on what you're doing with the truck. if you want heavy towing then you should consider GMC it, at present, has the most torque and HP 360HP and 650 torque
dodge is the quietest and Cummings has come out with a new diesel for motor homes (don't know about for trucks-haven't heard anything about it being available for trucks) it's the trusty 5.9, BUT it's been punched out to 6.7 liters and it has 350HP and 750 torque.

Take Dodge over Chevy any day. I would also give GMC a run. Depends on what towing capacity you're looking at?

I'd go with a chevy or gmc, they're the ones that are the most reliable out of the american brands.

But since you are buying a diesel truck, which pollutes the earth, plant a couple of trees when you buy the truck... on behalf of mother Earth I would thank you if you did so.

Do a little research on all the trucks you may buy... for example Dodge has transmission problems in their bigger trucks...it's a torque-vs- power problem.
