What are the pro's and con's of buying a high-end 5.1 speaker set compared to a low end one ?

Would it be worth an upgrade from a usb sound card (by Trust) to a PCI sound card ?

Would it be worth the upgrade from Trust 1600p 2.1 Speakers to Logitech 5.1 z-5500 would I notice a BIG difference ?

Anything else I should know when thinking about going for high end sound ?

I don't work in an office as such - I go to a different office every day, and have got into the habit of buying petrol station sandwiches for lunch every day.

I want to stop wasting money on this stuff. I need some good ideas for a packed lunch which I can make at home - it needs to be tasty, interesting, low in fat and quick to prepare in the morning.

Any good ideas???

Stephen King's book, On Writing was very encouraging until I got near the end when he made an example of someone who had short story publications and so found it easier to find an agent.

I've written a novel and want to see it published but all I have to my name is a Ph.D. dissertation, a couple published articles, and some conference proceedings. Those are all non-fiction depicting cogntive psychology research. Do I have any shot of getting published? Would mentioning my non-fiction help me to find an agent or get published?

Over the last 18-years, I've seen these cases numerous times, most often involving college age kids. Often, the woman will disappear, only to come back years later with a retroactive child support order, 5-23 years worth, depending on the state laws.

I had a case involving a San Diego Navy Commander, hit 15 years or $85,000 worth. At the time, he was married with 4 children, and living in a 5-bedroom house. They took the house, all their savings, 55% of his gross income, and 10% of hers. They had to move into a 2-bedroom, on base apartment. The mother was someone he dated in college, who suddenly moved back to her parents, and wouldn't see him anymore. She said that he should have known she was already pregnant. The order was upheld by the State Supreme Court.

I'm going to start building my own computer within this month, I know how to build, so on so forth, but just looking for your opinions on best hardware and products to buy. The machine is Mostly work & Internet but will be used for some gaming by my husband (F.E.A.R, WoW, etc.)Also mouse, Keyboard, Moniter etc.

I also want to be able to move money easily online as well. I went through the hassle of setting up a Scottrade account only to find at the end that I couldn't move money to the acct. online easily. Ideally, I'd like to be able to fund my online trading from my PayPal acct.

My friends are away travelling, and I'm here by myself, and will be all night.
My parents don't really do New Year's celebrations, and my mum's not feeling so good anyway and will be going to bed at a normal time.
