My friends are away travelling, and I'm here by myself, and will be all night.
My parents don't really do New Year's celebrations, and my mum's not feeling so good anyway and will be going to bed at a normal time.
So I'm here by myself. I've tried pretending I don't care, but actually, I do.
Does anyone else find the idea of being alone tonight quite depressing?

I am working and I find it rather depressing. Working in a pub I will be serving drunken people having a great time from 8:00 to 1:30 while I will be sobre, working hard and not getting any extra money for doing so (New Years Eve is not a national holiday unlike New Years Day so hence employers do not have to pay anything extra to staff working that night)

New Years Eve isn't as important and what you do with the New Year, that's what I am telling myself. People only remember what they did for New Years Eve the few days after, or during the next one.

I have spent the past three years without the company of humans. My two dogs and I have a quiet little party at home, we rent movies, and cook all day. Then we spend the evening pigging out, and waiting for the ball to drop. And as long as you have access to a computer, how can you be alone? LOL Any way, I do not find the lack of company or being alone depressing in any way, at any time. Please at least try to have a Happy New Year, and I hope your mom, gets better.

I hate new year. It's such a depressing time - when we look back on all our experiences of the past year - the deaths, the highs, the lows etc. and try to hope for something better next year - knowing full well that it will be just the same as this one.

This is probably the reason so many people drown their sorrows (to excess) tonight. Try to block it all out.

So, you're not alone. We're all in the same boat - floating aimlessly to December 31st 2007, and on, and on, and on.....

Happy New Year.

Yeah, I'm finding it quite depressing cos I feel like I should be doing SOMETHING, but at the same time I'm not really in the mood. It's not been a great year for me so I don't really want to celebrate, however I WILL be getting p*ssed cos seeing in the New Year without having a drink just seems wrong. Hope you feel better, and good luck for the New Year, Xk.

I've always hated New Year's because of the pressure it puts on people. If it was December 29, would you feel depressed spending a relaxing evening alone? Do something you love. Rent a movie, read a book, or dance crazy in your bedroom. But do something just for you. And know that you are loved and that this is just another day of the year and not a reflection of who you are. It's hard not to care, but just treat yourself to something nice and make the night yours!

Try to be postitive. Watch dvd.s. It's only another over-rated late night anyway! Don't think of New Years Eve, think of New Years Day and the coming year. Write down all the things you would like to do or to change in the coming year. Make plans! Feel the excitement coming through.

It's only depressing if you make it depressing. Your friends might be away but you can still call them, can't you? Let the people you care about know you are thinking of them...have a little party of your own and ring in the new year with thoughts of those you love and hopes for a great year ahead.

Here's hoping you have a groovy '07!

Slainte'!

I maximum probably love the reveal for some reason, even inspite of the shown fact that i'd desire to have faith you in this one. the finest ingredient i will't stand is whilst Amy cries bc evidently so fake and ugh it gets on my nerves lol even inspite of the shown fact that the offering kinda caught me off look after. it somewhat is lots happening too and each physique seems related come what would ... hm. some ppl are asserting the "i admire You" is unrealistic, even inspite of the shown fact that not extremely. those days ppl throw that word around locate it impossible to stand as much as's nothin. in any case, it somewhat is my concept on it- i stumble on it impossible to stand as much as even inspite of the shown fact that it may get boring now and then- i'm 15: )

No it's fine in my mind.
It gives one a chance to reflect on the good and
bad of the previous year and set about thinking how they can make next year better.
But I am older-I've had many New Years in
my life.
Watch people on t.v. tonite and laugh at their
antics and be glad you are not out there, going to be very sick tomorrow.
You will have your chance in another New Years
Eve.
God bless you.
